If I want to bake bread, I might ask someone who knows the trade first. And we knew, or thought we knew, that we could do something that was needed here. It's not always just ego, but I know what you mostly mean. That's why I also say: I chose myself, because that's how it is, we chose ourselves because we thought we were strong enough or whatever. That's fine, because it's a fact. Only: how I substantiate this fact with emotions is individual ;-)
