Serious, i dont care about "Cup Holders" in a Supersports Car. This is not a Mini Van. And if you wanne drink something, you can stop, get out of the Car, have a Drink, eat something or smoke a Cigarette, and after that you can Drive. This Car is build to make 0,98G in a Corner.

My father bought his 95 brand new. He still has it. I basically grew up with that vehicle. Everything in here is right on point! You should have added the opti-spark issue to that list! Always a stressful part. You never know when it will fail on you and replacing It is quite the task. OR quite the hit to the wallet, depending on which route you take.

You're right with your guess that the targa top needs to be bolted in because it IS a part of the cars structure. Whereas the C5 was like four times stiffer structure, which allowed it to have a quick release targa top.

Thanks. Sold it last fall for $1,000 more than I paid for it. Now I have a 2002 so I can film C5 content this summer...

Good video as always, I enjoy your content. I have to agree with you on just one of your complaints, the removal of the roof. It’s a pain in the ass, there’s just no way around it, that’s why I just decided to permanently leave my body color roof on all the time. To me one solid color just looks better and I don’t have to fiddle with the bolting on and off the roof. Plus I have found that when I used to remove the roof a lot, I would have to be in a perfectly leveled location because of the torque required at every corner. Otherwise I would start hearing creaking from one of the four corners because it didn’t torque down correctly because the car was not leveled at the time and it would take me several tries to tighten and re-tighten each corner until it’s perfect and no more squeaking. Other than that I love my 91 C4 ZR1 ❤

I do believe the roof is a structural part of the car. It would explain why the acrylic panel develops cracks throughout the whole panel Also to me the car seems to have a lot more flex with it off. I hate the coating that they put on the center console and center - stack it gets sticky and is not an easy fix and I hate the cardboard covered visors. I know it's not GM's fault, but I hate that only two companies manufacture the correct size tires for the staggered wheels.

I agree with all of them. Have a 64 and a 96 that I love. Changed out headlights soon as I got it to glass instead of the cheap plastic they came with. Nice theory on the roof panel. Had a 2007 that I recently sold and it had the handles, no tools required. My rear hatch has the same problem with the glue getting compromised by all the water that sits in there. I do have a semi rare ( only 8% ) of 1996 C4s have the Z51 handling suspension package. Just subbed...

Two of these issues (targa top removal, rear hatch seal degradation) are solved by buying the ragtop variation. Still, the coupes are more affordable on average. Pick your battles, I guess.

Hi, I found also that my Halogen head lights just were to weak at night so I replaced them with LED head lights. Big improvement I must say and it gives the front of the vehicle a cool modern look when looking at it in the dark as well. One thing I don't like about my 1996 C4 corvette is the automatic sensor which detects darkness and then like it or not pops up the 2 headlights. This sensor is so sensitive it can activate the lights in plain daylight when passing threw a shadow of a tree or overpass. Not a good feature. Wish I could deactivate this sensor so I could fully control the headlights with the on dash headlight switch only. Thank you for the review.

3:50 u can totally drill a hole in that corner and add a tube so water drains properly, when u change that seal

The cup holders hold standard sized cans just fine, it's only an issues in the manual cars. The targa top takes two minutes to remove or replace. It's piss easy. The rear seals are not damaged by water sitting in there. The headlight units can easily be replaced with semi-sealed H4 type units and work just fine. Getting in and out is becoming an issue as i get older, 30 years of C4 driving and it isn't getting easier, but it's not a drama really. Turning circle is good enough.

I will issue you a challenge: I say there is NO way you can take the top off in 2 minutes. If they are bolted down all the way...not a chance. But thanks for the comment anyways :)

The bad girl wanted to train the Corvette with whipping the Corvette's heartbeat, and forcing the Corvette to do what the Corvette couldn't do!! Then, the girl fell out and got hurt! The girl had a bandage on her leg. The girl's mother yelled at her ''C4 Corvettes deserve to have kind care, and not mean care!!'' and the bad girl yelled at her mother ''My C4 Corvette does deserve mean treatment.'' The girl kept training the C4 Corvette with even meaner treatment. The bad girl said ''Stupid Corvette!!!'' The bad girl whipped the C4 Corvette again and again and again. The C4 Corvette complained ''I couldn't do that!! Stop whipping me!!!'' The C4 Corvette hurt herself on a large hedge! The bad girl's father told the C4 Corvette ''Little Corvette, if you keep refusing to trot with holding your head up higher than normal, I'll put you in the garage to CALM DOWN!!!'' and then, the C4 Corvette didn't listen to her driver right now. 9 hours later, the C4 Corvette has a really fast heartbeat. ''Bad Corvette owner!'' the bad girl's mother yelled. After 10 minutes the girl whipped the C4 Corvette, the C4 Corvette started breathing so hard. Then, The C4 Corvette started to shake and then lie down. However, the C4 Corvette doesn't like her owner. The bad girl forced the C4 Corvette to get up when she is too weak to get up. And finally, the girl gave up. The girl said ''Ugh, she is one lazy Corvette!!!'', and the C4 Corvette was panting really, super hard. And that's it. That's the end of this story.
