I agree! Everyone kept telling me to buy a commercial grade….I mean I mow 2 flat acres.

All the same reasons, open-frame so I can maintain it easily. Adjustable steering handles. My must-have was the fabricated deck. The LED's are nice but not necessary for me. You got a good deal on the mower. I got mine last week from Home Depot. After taxes and my military discount, and an additional $100 off for signing up for the HD credit card, I paid $3340 out the door.

2x2 steal frame surrounding the engine, so backing into something isn't going to crush thin sheet metal into the engine. At the front, where the side frame rails meet the front cross frame, that connection is welded all the way around, unlike John Deere which has a plate partially welded on top and another on the bottom.

Agreed, I think this design is much better quality than most.

Don’t forget about that 50” fabricated deck! I will never buy a stamped deck again. They’re too thin and collect water then rust out really fast not to mention how easily they’re bent when running into a solid object on accident. The fabricated deck handles the abuse much much better. I live on the east side of the big island of Hawaii and it’s mostly lava rock with cinder and soil on top so hitting rocks is inevitable.

For sure! The deck is way better on these. I had the same issues with rust on my old cub riding mower. Someday I'll come visit your beautiful state! I have never seen lava rocks before.

@@GiveAbundance Yeah that's true I was just wondering if the lights ever burned out due to that.

I'm not sure, but with them being LED you would think they should last a long time and be cheap to change out since they are so small. I guess time will tell!
