    It's nice that you didn't cut out the miss on the last ball. It shows that all of us are human, and missing a shot happens to all of us. Great video as always! :)

    An absolutely perfect example of what pool is all about. One shot perfection to get you to the next shot. Without this training, you are playing on luck.

    There's a rule of thumb from Dr.Dave. If the cue ball approaches the short rail at close to 45 degrees angle, it will pass thru the center of the table. Keeping this in mind will help to determine what type and how much of spin to use that'll cause the cue ball to hit the short cushion at an angle close to 45 degrees. It's easy to imagine the line that'll make 45 degrees by connecting the diamonds on the long cushion to the short cushion. The line from the corresponding first diamonds is 45 degrees, and so is the line from the corresponding second diamonds and so on. You can use side spin as needed to shorten/widen the cue ball path so it'll either go short of the center or go long as well.

    Thank you for the awesome videos- I watch as many as I can find! Question I have and can’t find answers to, hoping you or someone else may provide an answer: How to determine what kind of spin the rail has on the cue ball after it hits the object ball then a rail? I often get confused when shooting pool and need to go from the head rail to the foot rail- such as when I’m on the 8 ball and the 9 is on the other end sitting on the rail. Thanks!

    Hi and many thanks for all your videos, which I recently discovered and are very instructive. Maybe you've specified it somewhere and I'm sorry if I missed this information, but on what table size are you playing ? My guess would be 9ft for official size, but just to be sure, I prefer asking :) Thanks in advance for your answer !

    For the segment @ 1:35 my table doesn't seem to work like this at all. I need max inside spin to miss the ball in the center. Sharivari uses a touch of inside and the ball straightens right up. I'm wondering if the slow, fuzzy cloth on my table is the problem.

    I've been playing for so many years and I cant seem to get any better. I can run out balls then miss the last two shots. Even if they are easy. I miss the nine ball ALOT. Not sure if it's mental but I wish there was a way to fix this.

  • @brett6314

    @brett6314

    Жыл бұрын

    Mental of course. You know how to make balls. Line up your shot, get down, trust it, shoot it. Get up if you want to adjust. Don't forget about position play on the 9. That'll occupy your brain so all the other negative thoughts don't invade.
