Nice to see some Father Ted references today of all days, 19th July: Ice Age ended! Same as Zarak never played any of the time splitters games and they look pretty solid. Can tell it’s made by the same people that did Goldeneye, some very similar mechanics and visuals. Fun video, thanks Classic!

🤣 yeah I saw that on twitter right now. Complete coincidence. Used to watch father ted a lot. Yeah they are very similar to goldeneye in terms of controls and how missions are structured. It is a great game to play. Lots of odd and crazy characters and game modes. Glad you enjoyed it without having played the games

Loved the sped up Gladiator theme tune. Never played any of the Timesplitters games but from what i have seen of them, they don't seem to be easy games hence those nightmarish challenges u highlighted. Like with the sniper rifle which is not the easiest weapon to use at the best of times.

Yeah tried to get a few references in. They are fun games but are more products of their time, Hard to get into for new players. But yeah i would mostly end up completing the story on easy mode, but would stick to mostly just playing for fun in the arcade mode. The sniper rifle is useless, thankfully most weapons do auto aim.

Nice threads made me wanna put my face into a desk. Monkey madness and other precision challenges were made so much easier with mouse injector for emulator though xd, but that's not the original way to play so eh (even though I can't go back to controller thanks to that).

It's hard to suggest which one to play as they can be hard to play as the controls haven't aged amazingly. I would say skip the first game and either play this one or future perfect. I am hoping there is a remake coming at some point, there has been rumours for a while. Also thank you

My favourite 2002 video game.

I managed to get platinum on a couple of these but I could not manage to get above a silver on nice threads

Yep the same people who made this also made James bond goldeneye. The dam looks very similar to the dam in goldeneye as well

That brick league challenge is easy even when the brick sucks because of the Crypt Zombie AI is pretty bad. Can't Handle This is shockingly easy because all you have to do is camp with the dual-wielded Thompsons. The R-109 beta league is a joke too. I commend you for taking the time to choose the 5 hardest league/challenge but I can scratch up 3 league/challenge that replace those challenges that I mentioned from the video.

That's understandable as different people will have different abilities and will find some challenges easier than others might find them. These were the ones that i had the most trouble with. I could have also added bags of fun which most people suggest is one of the hardest. But i didn't personally have much trouble with. Also possibly fighting the stone golem in the site map. This list is also based on what i struggled with when i was first playing the game, before i could look up guides. A lot of challenges have those loop holes that do make them easier.

Great game shame its kind of been lost to the annals of time, as even though they are frustrating at times, the challenge mode was a hell of a lot of fun... If only they re-released it for the pc with mouse and keyboard control..maybe not as much brand recognition as current titles but still feel modern gen gamers are missing out

Yeah there was a lot of rumours about a remaster or a new timesplitters game but that has since gone quiet. It is such a great game. Even if the controls are a bit awkward.

Most of these are deffo not the hardest, man. Rice Cracker Rush? Bags of Fun? No?
