I remember my high school had a "beginner" guitar class but I joined anyway despite playing for almost 10 years at that point, plus it meant I didn't have to take calculus lmao Anyway, later on in the semester, we learned Dust in the Wind, but it was just the chords and a super easy 1 finger melody, the notes for the vocals if I remember right. But the teacher knew I played guitar for a lot of my life and handed me the fingerstyle part and all I could do was go "YESSSS" because I seriously thought I was going to have to play straight up chords and 1 finger melodies for 2 weeks

Some favorites (of mine and/or the listeners) were Here Comes the Sun and Norwegian Wood by the Beatles, More Than Words by Extreme, Scarborough Fair and Mrs. Robinson by Simon & Garfunkel, Wond’ring Aloud by Jethro Tull, Walk On The Ocean by Toad the Wet Sprocket, John Barleycorn by Traffic, Mood For A Day by Yes, Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, Sweet Baby James by James Taylor, All I Want by Joni Mitchell, Change the World by Clapton, and the Intro to Weather Report Suite by the Dead. Also, I’m With You by Avril Lavigne is a really nice song, believe it or not.

One of my favorite songs played on the acoustic guitar(specifically a 12 string) is '39 by Queen(written by Brian May). Such a beautiful, melancholy song about Einstein's theory of time dilation.😌 Funny that 39 years after the song's release, Christopher Nolan makes a movie with the same exact plot as the lyrics in the song.😁

Everlong is my favorite song period, but I actually do prefer playing that one electric with my band as opposed to solo acoustic. My favorite acoustic song to play is Name by Goo Goo Dolls. I legit bought a third acoustic guitar so I could replace the G and B strings to get the correct DAEAEE tuning, and designate that guitar for that one song. That tuning sounds so good even on my cheapo Dean acoustic, and it's really fun to play once you have it down.
