I truly thought Andrea was gonna win. Her death shocked me so much!

Am I the only one, who was rooting for Asterope? I knew she wasn't going to win, but.. She was just so sweet and innocent. Her death was so sad for me and what Pluto said after that... Poor girl.. It's interesting that in last film, i was rooting for Geneva, so D5 female too... They both were so sweet.. But about the ,,film", it was soo good!! (Also so sorry for Lindsey, she was just hungry, Pluto was so cruel..)

Wow, that was incredible! I could barely predict it at all and I LOVED THAT! SPOILERS BELOW!!! My only reason why I thought Ryland *could* win was because of the katana. The District 9 male in Catching Fire had a katana as his weapon of choice. But for a while, I thought Andrea was gonna win because she had main character energy! Pretty impressive use of Hunger Games trivia to foreshadow the winner!

Yeah, it's an aspect that's unfortunately glossed over in many fanfics. I know I could have focused on it in more depth, but I am glad you appreciated it.

I love the detail that Pluto looks like Cider they are strong, leaders of theirs alliances any have long hair. The similarity with Faust and Barley us amazing too! The age, the training score their fear. It broke me that Ryland ended up with Faust since he was similar to his cousin or brother.

I have to admit, most of those similarities were coincidental (especially the age and training score one, in Faust's case the idea was that Hex's death traumatised him, affecting his performance in the training). But Faust being similar to Barley in terms of both of them being scared young boys was intended to some extent because it added more weight to Ryland's reluctance to kill him as he reminded him of his cousin.

Considering that what I imagined for District 6 was Jet Hangers, Warehouse, Refineries, Poverty and Morphling Addicts this was noticeable shock to me, something I should mention is that the reason I thought this was the Fanfiction that Christian Blanco made in 2020, Tales From The Hunger Games, that was a great series by the way

In my defence, there's no world in the Sims 4 that I think would be anywhere similar to 6. Maybe Newcrest because it's empty, but I'm not a good builder, and I don't have the patience to build a whole town from scratch. (You could consider it a slightly better off area, though, because Andrea's parents are engineers, so they're not exactly poor)

No. In my interpretation, he was supposed to be the District 9 Male from the 75th. Hence, the hints with the katana.

OMFG!! i just got to watch for the first time, im so so so sorry for not attending the premiere, something irl came up x but OH. MY. GOD. literally was the best sims 4 movie ever!! the camera angles were everything, the animations were so realistic and amazing, and the dialogue was phenomenal! i ADORE the fact that each character was written so well. you did an AMAZING job with not repeating stuff from 43rd. this was SO GOOD!! i can’t say it enough. i was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time! like you have advanced SO much in all aspects of moviemaking! so proud to have been able to support you through the entire process of this film!

ALSO: this film was so unique and creative! it was really cool to see things we haven’t seen in a S4HG before like a tribute dying before the Games, thinking/dreaming about previous experiences, seeing the dead, etc. SO GOOD!!!!!

In the 43th hunger games, that Jewel won, the tributes that escape the bloodbath and had most development in history were 3,7,10,11 and 12 with 3 girls of from 8,5 and 9. In the 44 th edition is a bit the other way around, those who escape and are more protagonists are 6,9,the alliance of 5and 8 with a couple of 4 and 11. Also very original that one forest landscape with those giant mushrooms. Those mushrooms were on the planet Mongo from the comic Flash Gordon. It is logical that the blonde boy from district 1 was called Flash.

I can not put into words how much I enjoyed this film! I enjoyed the story so much- and felt invested in the characters, I also like how pretty much all the characters had a sense ambiguity- there wasn't clear heros or villans, which is great as it really emphasises the message that no one ever deserves to die, or deserves to win over any of the other tributes. Overall a absolutely impeccable film!

Personally my template is more complicated and even I struggle with it because I made it in DaVinci Resolve and it's a bit difficult to use for a more inexperienced user. I do recommend Sims of Panem's tutorial for starters, though, because it pretty much covers the basics. Mine is similar to theirs but with extra steps.

I also want to say that your skills in editing and screenwriting have grown a lot! Watching the games was very exciting)

Thank you so much! The 43rd will always hold a special place to me, but I understand that the bittersweet ending may not have hit as hard. This time, I wanted to go full-on tragedy because I was always fascinated by stories about a flawed but sympathetic protagonist who makes decisions that eventually lead to their downfall.

I really loved this movie but I'm mad that my fav came in 2nd ONCE AGAIN Anyways Sabrina and Flash and Theodora were also robbed. Ohh okay, so I understand that the beginning probably gave the wrong impression to most people and I thought they would figure out that Andrea was doomed by canon because in the 54th Clara mentioned that there has not been a victor in 20 years (we technically share the same timeline). My bad there. As for future plans, for now I just want to post the death order, bonus scenes and probably take a break until October to recharge. I am considering doing Chaff's games next but I am not 100% sure yet since it's too early and I still want to finish everything related to this project first.

I discovered your channel in september last year (so luckily I only had to wait 6 month for a second film haha), I really liked your first film and this one is great as well, bravo !! I don't often do this and I don't know if you'll read this but I'll develop my thoughts on each tribute (by order of death) and if anyone wants to respond, just feel free to do so ;) [3] Hex: rip :( Pretty unique to see that type of pre-game death in this kind of fan film. I really was thinking about Hex's loved ones during this scene 14:30, just imagine learning about her death this way... The gamemakers still giving her a score of 1 afterwards is the ultimate disrespect xD [8] Tammy: The double "Hey." (17:26 ; 28:50) thing with Jovian was funny lol [12] Colby and Cicely: filler tributes, didn't really expect them to get far, the foreshadowing at the lunch table during the training sessions was pretty expected haha. It was nice for them to have a brief scene together though. [10] Austin: "Howdy!" [7] Garrick: Not much to say, got into an argument with Lindsey and got killed right away, cool to have at least a minor focus on everyone, even if it was just 3-4 lines for some tributes. + "But I'm sick of you raining on my parade, no pun intended" was funny af [10] Rosamund: Had some potential, could have been interesting, should have outlasted Lindsey. It would've been cool to have a Rosamund/Adair/Mulberry trio

I love these insights! Your notes pretty much summed up what I was going for. (Theodora agreeing with Mulberry deep down, Jewel realising when someone is not a trustworthy person, Ryland's motivations to join the careers) I will try to clarify some points. 1. So my idea was that Vetiver didn't want to betray Jewel because he was hesitant about being a part of Seymour's plan during their discussion on day 6. But he had to stick with the careers because he thought it was too dangerous to leave, and Seymour had a firm grip on him. I know I may have not made it very clear, but it was hard to have him voice his thoughts around the careers without giving away that he was still on her side. Maybe I will recontextualise their relationship in a bonus scene one day. 2. I was not sure if Jewel and Ginny would get along, which is why I didn't have them interact so far. Jewel is pretty controversial, and she is not very liked both in the Capitol and in the districts as well. The career districts see her as a traitor, and the outlier districts see her as a career, so I don't think she would have many friends among the victors. 3. Sabrina being chosen over Adair had nothing to do with their volunteer/reaped status. Sabrina seemed to have better skills (someone using a bow would be useful for the career pack considering that most members used melee weapons) and she told Adair after the parade that he will not be a part of the careers because she was still holding a grudge over something that happened in the past. Therefore, it's safe to assume that she had a say in his exclusion from the pack. Adair also confirms this during his first meeting with Mulberry. 4. The betrayals during the arena event may seem confusing, I get that. My idea was that it was final 8, and they knew it was getting down to the wire, so they took advantage of the event to get rid of their allies. But it was also a way to show the similarities between Theodora and Ryland as both of them would not hesitate to throw their allies under the bus if it was beneficial to them. 5. Andrea was a submission, and her backstory (volunteering for her sister and fighting drug dealers) was written by her creator, so that part was not my contribution. However, I did realise that people would compare her to Katniss, which is why I tried to change things around. I personally don't like having my characters be carbon copies after characters from the original series. You can't beat the originals because they are obviously better written and more fleshed out than any copy would be. And let's be real, it was clear that she was outmatched in final 3, and the only way she could defeat the other 2 would be due to plot armour or some unexpected twist at the end. That, and I thought Ryland's story is more compelling because it's not something I've often seen in fanfiction. Most outlier victors are portrayed as heroes and they always do the "right" thing, but my idea is that there are no heroes in the arena, and tributes have to make difficult choices to ensure their survival. In this case, I wanted these choices to hold weight and have consequences. I wanted to show how the arena can bring out the worst in people sometimes. That's why Gwen had to die this early. She was the catalyst of this transformation. Yes, an underdog victory may have seemed like a safe choice, but I like taking risks.

​@@cyraelin4950 1. Yeah I never thought that Vetiver flat out betrayed Jewel, for me he was kind of still on her side but just decided to go with the numbers. He didn't really turned against her, he just wasn't gonna go out of his way to "save"/"defend" her, too risky for him + When Meredith and Vetiver found her on day 7 I think, Vetiver with his arrow could've gone for Jewel but aimed for Cider instead and I think it was on purpose. 2. I was just thinking of a scene in which they would intersect and Jewel would make an apology about her interview (thinking about it, Jewel kind of got her Karma one year later with Freesia bashing her during her interview lol) Besides, I thought she would be a little more appreciated by the outliers - Her backstory / explanation on why she volunteered - Her sparing Elowen - Her alliances with Warren, Keith and Ada - Her kills being exclusively other careers (Seymour, Bellona, and even Meredith to an extend) The only « wrong » thing with her from an outlier standpoint was her behavior pregame at the parade/interview 3. Ok that's what I was thinking , I just thought that their volunteer/reaped status was another argument for the carrers to lean Sabrina's way 4. I get that, they both got rid of their duo because Sabrina and Flash were the 2 biggest threats left besides them. I'm sure both of them felt bad. 5. I mean yeah Ry and Theo were definitely above her skill wise. I didn't count her out because of her story + of score of 7 which is pretty decent + the fact that she beat up that guy in D6 (but yeah looking back now that was child's play compared to her 2 final arena opponents). I thought she had some plan in motion in the end but she was just outmatched in the end And Ryland's story fits the "There are no heroes" more of course.

Those are valid points. As for Jewel I think many districts have mixed feelings about her, including 7 because yes, she helped Elowen, but she also got into a fight with Keith and left him exposed which resulted in his death. Therefore, even if she did not directly cause his death, her actions led to a chain of events that resulted in that outcome, and I think Keith's family would hold it against her. So would Meredith, Cider and Nacelle's families because even though she didn't kill them, she was indirectly involved in their deaths. It's kind of a case of guilt by association. It may not sound rational, but grief can cause people to put the blame on someone even if they did not intend to cause any harm. That being said, some people would probably consider her "better" than other careers because her only kills were other careers (I think Jewel hates being considered "better" simply because she only killed "bad" people because she still grapples with guilt and trauma, even if those people tried to kill her in the first place) but at the same time she wouldn't really be fully accepted as an outlier either. Therefore, she would struggle to fit in with both groups. That being said, I could have her interact with other victors in the future. It's not something that I had planned out so far, though. But I do intend to show a montage of some of her post-victory scenes especially because she was the most voted character in a poll about who should receive a bonus scene so it only makes sense that I would do that and I'll probably explore more of her situation because it's not as simple as people think and just because she's loved by the audience, doesn't mean she is loved by everyone in-universe too.

The biggest red flag from Andrea is the scene where she refused to kill Flash and just ran away with Helico. That's when I realized she didn't had it in her. As for an alternative ending with Theodora winning, I think she demolishes Andrea in the final fight, right? Andrea's best case scenario was in the movie with an injured Ryland who gave her a chance by dropping his katana. To finish, knowing that D9M was the one Peeta drowned to death, that pretty much answers the question of Gwen's ghost, It wasn't worth It because everyone is a pawn in these games.

Yes, she wouldn't stand a chance against Theodora. At least Ryland gave her a chance at a fair fight, but he still warned her that he won't make it easy for her. I think he still respected her for her courage and decision to volunteer, but at the end of the day, they were still enemies.

That was a very good movie I was really impressed with the storyline of the movie and the creativity with the scenes you added. I had mixed feelings about Ryland winning because he wasnt very heroic at all but at the same time the way he won was sort of clutch.

Yeah, well, I didn't really want him to follow the "heroic" outlier archetype because we already have that with Rowan, and I didn't want him to feel like a carbon copy. I like taking risks and challenging expectations, even if that means focusing on victors that the audience may not naturally root for.

Yes, I wanted him to be the District 9 male from the 3rd Quarter Quell. I know most people name him "Daniel," but I personally prefer giving the canon victors names that fit their districts because I think it adds to the immersion. I also had the headcanon that the D9M was strong in his youth, but he was past his prime at the time of the 75th games and overestimated his abilities. And then I started writing a story around him, thinking what he would have been like. I imagined that he was probably jaded by his victory, and his attempt to drown Peeta was an act of desperation.

What exactly happens with Hex death? Surely it can’t be that high. And the other tributes got minor injuries? Is that what happened to Sabrina’s teeth?

She panicked, and District 4's carriage crashed into her. The District 4 tributes also received minor injuries because of it.

I love this!!! I’m thinking abt doing my own hunger games! i’ve done one before but it didn’t flow smoothly at all. do you have any tips for different scenes like the reapings, bloodbath, training, the game? I don’t know how you make it look so good!! i truly just need a lot of help with it lol! I also struggle with world building and building the arenas and making the sims look better. i’m trying to make it more realistic. if you have any tips at all i would greatly appreciate it!!!

Omg I'm so sorry for the late response. Honestly, it's difficult for me to explain in detail but I will try my best. So I usually make the cast first, decide on the death order and start writing an outline around it. This can be tricky however if you want to change things later, but having an outline helps. I recommend choosing a victor from the beginning and figure it out what their story is about because it will save you a lot of headache in the long run and it will help you write the story in a way which it leads to a satisfying conclusion. As for the reaping, you can either go with a montage showing all the tributes, or pick a certain tribute and show their reaping. In that case people will assume that this tribute is your main character, so they will expect that they have more focus than others. The training is where you can have your characters form alliances and maybe set up conflicts that will continue later in the arena. The bloodbath is usually the most difficult part for me to film because controlling 24 Sims at once is hell. I recommend deciding the pedestal placements and writing the deaths in a way that makes sense according to the pedestal placements before you start filming because otherwise things will get confusing really fast. As for the Games themselves, choose an arena, have the characters interact, set up encounters. It depends what you want to do but I suggest you make sure that you write down a plan of the things you want your characters to do for each day like for day 1 they do this, this, and this and so on. It helps you stay focused and doesn't make things too overwhelming because you break them into small, manageable tasks. For building you can use builds on the gallery, I use them sometimes too because building something from scratch takes time and sometimes I don't want to build an entire house just for a 2 minutes scene. And for making better sims: practice, randomise, use references, download cc if you want to (but always check the links to be safe, I usually recommend that you only use Patreon for cc shopping).

Was it shot in that way to show how similar he is to Theodora? Also in your opinion did they need to betray each other in that moment to survive the attack?

Yes, you are correct. It was no coincidence that I showed both of them betraying their allies. Theodora also points out how they're more alike than he realises in her f3 speech.

@@cyraelin4950 OHH that makes a lot of sense. I feel like Ryland is like the Anti-Jewel in some ways. His journey from outlier to "career" is similar to what Jewel went through in 43rd from career to "outlier". Also wanted to ask, why did Ryland spare Andrea in the final 6 after attacking Helico?

In an earlier version of the script, he was going to mention how he respected her for her decision to volunteer for her sister because he believed that only someone who was not in their right mind would willingly throw themselves in a death game, but sadly I had to shorten it to fit the music so the meaning of the scene was a bit more ambiguous. I'm really sorry about that. In hindsight, I should have kept it.

So how exactly did Mulberry die? Also while I wanted Theodora to win, I appreciate the attention to continuity details…out of the final 3, Ryland was the only one that could’ve won and not break continuity

She died because she ran into the forcefield. Yeah, if it wasn't for the continuity issues, I would have made Theodora the victor. But I think Ryland worked better for the story I was trying to tell: when you're trying to fight something, you may risk becoming the very thing you were fighting against. He didn't like the careers, but in the end, he ended up becoming just like them. Hence the quote in the description, too.

Probably. I believe that Lyme's year was sometime between the late 40s and early 50s. My headcanon is that she was the victor of the 51st.

District Six Is actually one of the strongest Districts if you think about it , i remember Peeta Painting himself in the games And the morphling in Catching fire They can seriously use that to their advantage

Yes and no. That scene implies they're good at camouflage and hiding. But I don't think every tribute from the same district has the same strengths and weaknesses because they have different backgrounds. Your experiences and skills are different from others who live in the same town as you. However, we have to remember that morphling is a serious issue in 6 and can also be a major disadvantage in the arena because tributes who consumed the drug would suffer from withdrawals.

I'm so sorry. It was definitely not intentional. The main focus was always going to be on the tributes from districts 6 and 9 with secondary focus on 5 and 8, so the rest simply got lost in the shuffle. I was planning to focus on Chaff next, but I am on the fence about it because some people in the community have already started working on his story, and we might clash because I would prefer to go with a new cast and new story. I'm still considering it, though.

His creator named him, so I suppose they might be into FNAF. And don't worry, I don't think it should be taken down because I don't use copyrighted songs that could get me in trouble. I only have a handful of "royalty free" songs that were flagged because their creators probably want me to pay a licence to use them, but they do not affect my channel. The major issue is when you use really famous songs by singers who are in a contract with a big record label because their label could request your video to be taken down. This also happens if you monetise your videos and I don't have monetisation on because of some ethical concerns I have.

Also, to add more context, it was intentional because I wanted the careers' downfall to be caused by their conflicts and lack of trust rather than them being defeated by outliers like it usually happens in most movies. Sabrina and the 2s wanted revenge on 1 for stealing the victory last year and wanted them out of the competition as soon as possible, but it backfired because Flash figured out that something was wrong and Ryland confirmed his suspicions, which caused a chain reaction of betrayals. And of course, Ryland used his cunning to sow discord among the careers in order to weaken the alliance and eliminate his biggest threats. As for Andrea, her defeat was almost inevitable at that point because her opponent had 4 kills, and he proved his superiority in combat when he defeated Theodora, who was miles above Andrea in terms of difficulty. She was brave, but only plot armour could have saved her at that point.

Yeah, because after Gwen's death, he talks to Sabrina, and she tells him not to get attached to anyone. That reflects into his actions later in the Games. Besides, I already had a career and outlier romance last year, and I didn't want to rehash the same ideas from my previous movie.

Why didn't ryland say anything about barely ? Are they brothers ?

The short answer is that I didn't really find an opportunity for him to do so. He was around the careers most of the time, and they definitely did not care about his family and Gwen did not really know his cousins very well because she mentioned that he kept their relationship behind closed doors. But I was planning to write a bonus scene where he comes back home and meets his cousins and they talk about Barley, among other things.

@@Mirage_Phantom5404 no but if you really want to know watch the 54th hunger games I will give you a spoiler warning (ONLY SCROLL DOWN IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE 54TH) So basically Clara in the 54th stated in her tribute interview, that there has not been a district 6 winner in over twenty years, meaning that this is the 44th hunger games and the 54th games was only a decade ago meaning that it would be impossible for andrea to win, since technically that meant the last time there was a district 6 winner was in the 34th hunger games

SPOILERS BELOW Girl, you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for all Sims Hunger Games videos, and doing it flawlessly Ok so I was rooting for Gwenith to win, but seeing as her district partner won, was I technically half-right? 🤡🤡🤡 I’m gonna give myself half a gold star for my predicting powers. That jumpscare of her appearing at the end was so good. If we see Ryland as a mentor in a future games it would be cool to see him talking to Gwenith in his head, to show how deep his guilt is. Also first Grania, now Gwenith? These district 9 girls can’t stop emotionally damaging me when they die. Andrea never really stood a chance, but I admire how she kept going until the end. Also RIP Helico and his undying commitment to horrendous jokes. Once we got down to the final three, I was pretty confident Ryland would win, as he was the most morally gray tribute left and it would fit with the “there are no heroes” theme you’d been hinting at. Biggest shock for me was Pluto killing Lindsey without a second thought. I love it when the outliers aren’t helpless victims all the time, and it was defo brave to give us one who killed like a Career. As a proud citizen of District 8 I loved seeing Mackintosh get to the final five, thought let’s face it Pluto was carrying his and Asterope’s asses. Also RIP Hex for falling off her chariot and getting trampled by the horses. 🕊️ Fly high baby bird 🕊️ The careers constantly turning on each other was giving that meme of the three Spider-Mans pointing at each other Final question: I’m a bit unclear on how Mulberry died. Did she run into the force field by accident?

I love all of this, and I definitely agree with your points! My idea was that Mulberry died because she lost her glasses and she was near-sighted (it was hinted at in the beginning when she talked to Furrow in the training), so it was harder for her to see any obstacles. Plus, forcefields are not really visible for the naked eye either, let alone for someone who doesn't have 20/20 vision.

Everytime a guy wins it breaks my heart. Justice for the girliepops!

I understand that, but it's important to remember that in physical confrontations, boys generally have an advantage due to biological differences. And I feel like it's unrealistic to have girls win all the time.

District two and Seven 👀

After killing all those tributes, I would have been upset if Ryland had lost in the final. I think one of Theodora and Ryland should have won the games anyway. Because they killed more than half of the tributes. I know there are people who want Andrea to win because she volunteered in place of her brother. But I think Ryland was the right choice for the winner. Of course, it could have been Theodora. It was a nice detail that two tributes who were not from career districs qualified for the last two finals. Overall this was awesome.

Yeah, nobody did a finale with two outliers so far, so I wanted to go for it. I'm aware that people tend to root for the underdogs, but I didn't want a Katniss clone. I agree that both Ryland and Theodora were justified because both of them were ruthless and uncompromising, and the harsh truth is that most of the time, the arena is not kind to people who don't prioritise their own survival over anyone else's.

But things don't always work out the way we want or think. I wish the continuation of your success. And I hope the next games will be Haymitch's or the 73rd hunger games.

Because the Capitol wants the districts to hate each other, and District 1 is supporting the Capitol. That, and careers and outliers are supposed to be mortal enemies, so a relationship between a career and an outlier would be taboo in Panem. For that reason, Jewel is very controversial in the Capitol because Snow would obviously not simply watch what she did in the arena and let it slide, so he would go out of her way to punish and control her. District 1 would go as far as to slander their own victor because they want to remain in the Capitol's good graces and keep their privileged status. Even if my stories focus mainly on the games, the victors do not exist in a vacuum, and I always take into consideration how they would be received in the Capitol and the districts. So Jewel ends up becoming an outcast because we already know that she is seen as problematic, and the rest of the districts don't like her because she's seen as a career or because they blame her for the deaths of their children.

Omg I'm so sorry, but I don't think I can bring myself to remake the ending because I worked an entire week on it, and it was really draining, but I could write an alternate ending for her and send it to you. Keep in mind that it will be bittersweet, though, because my idea is that, even if the Games do have a victor, no one really wins. Victors suffer just as much, if not more than the rest.
