I really enjoyed your video I'm a mountain man at heart myself and it's great to see people still interested in the old American way of life thank you
I wished we had events like this in Louisiana. It's hard to get any muzzleloading supplies without going online. Ya'll are very fortunate.
Tonic for the soul.
I hear you say you pick up a number of things from Flintlocks LLC in your videos. I used to go down to my friend Jerry Eder's down in Nineveh every week and work on guns with him and other guys back in the 70s. He helped me build a 58 cal. southern mountain rifle along with help from Merrill Deer. Merrill Deer had an original one that we used to make mine. Merrill Deer was one of the past presidents of the NMLA. I have long since moved from Indiana to Arizona. I used to see Jerry when the NMLA had the winter shoot in Arizona. I was sad to hear he passed away he was a great guy! He was a Pharmacist like my Dad and they both went to Purdue! I miss those days so very much making guns with him down at his place and the shoots he would have down there! Keep up the great videos!

That's incredible! You are spot on. The business is now run by Mike, Jerry's son. I am old enough to remember Jerry and I'm thankful everyday for it. He was an incredble icon for the sport. Thanks for the kind words! Hope you continue to enjoy muzzleloading out there in Arizona!
I do love shows like this. Muzzleloader's are huge here in PA. Flintlock Muzzleloader's are very huge because of our flintlock only deer season. It's getting more popular because we don't have to deal with city slickers in the woods.
Thanks for sharing

Well the other brother Ethan I always appreciate your content. I have commented a few times in the past, mostly with a simple thought of a reminder that kit is a blank waiting for your personality, and touch. Been a subscriber for sometime. In a bit of side the bang bang gave a brief introduction on ye old mountain man. It a build that's in my head that is titled WHAT WOULD ASHLEY DO. I'm trying to put together my own take of my experiences within with a no nonsense approach of content with a no apology attitude. My next video in plan is a detailed visual/ verbal explanation of the WWAD build dancing around in an old half blind mountain man's head. Mountain man

Mountain Man, it was great to catch up last weekend. I'm super looking forward to your WWAD build!
I was absolutely drooling at some of the stuff on those displays. There are some beautiful rifles, knives, powder horns, accoutrement bags, I just can't name them all. Just drooling. Y'all keep ye powder dry!

Yes Dave, the show should be back next year. The location will be the same for this show next year. The next show close to Indiana I think is the Kalamazoo Living History Show March 18-19 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Great video. We were there, which was a great show. Are there any other upcoming shows?

Coming up in March we've go the Kalamazoo Living History Show, The New England Colonial Trade Fair, Five Medals at the Trace, and some others. Check out ReenactingSchedule.org for a big list.
I hope Kibler's has an Open House this year. I missed the 2022 Open House.

Have you tried Dixie Gun Works or the Log Cabin shop?
Hi, I just recently built my first flintlock and have been buying handmade items to go along. I'm disabled but can get travel short distances. I'm wondering if you know of any long gun or living history events with vendors in NYS , VT, or Eastern Penn this year? I'm from upstate NY. Thanks for any help.
