You mentioned that there are 4 methods of analysing. I need your clarification on one issue. The first method involves BULDING ANALYSIS, whereas the second method is FE ANALYSIS. What if I have run the BUILDING ANALYSIS, and later wish to design the slabs using FE ANALYSIS (Slab strip using FE STRIP instead of ANALYTICAL STRIP). In which case do I have to run FE ANALYSIS TOO???? Thank you.

@@ridwantician I downloaded the 2018 version and after the whole analysis process and it's time for me to get my design results displayed i get an error note. That is run time error 53. Don't know if there's a way of fixing this or you know how I can get to download another version for free?

Why we need to change slab stiffness factor to 0.5 when run the FE Floor analysis?

By doing that, you're increasing the stiffness of the slab. Hence, you're making it stronger. You can as well reduce it to 0.25.

Thank you for the question. 1. Building analysis is a static analysis. Its the only analysis available for columns and beams design. 2. Slab strip is also an analysis that is available for slabs if you want to carry out a static analysis. 3. FE floor & Mesh and FE chasedown analysis are linear analysis for slabs. 4. FE raft foundation analysis is also a linear analysis but can be used only for raft slab. This means you only have one method of analysis for slab. You have three methods for slab. All these analysis will give you accurate result regardless of the method you use.
