Thank you! That was so simple. But for me, and I think a lot of people like me in the civil world, have been stuck for decades in the 2D world, and still live there, even though we suffer in Civil3D and Plant3D etc. because we can function “good enough” doing it old school that managers won’t invest in training, or if they do, it’s one of those one week crash courses at a hotel leaving one more confused and far more intimidated than ever. When you build a career learning only what someone else in the office is willing to stop and help you with, combined with Autodesk’s ridiculous help files geared toward drowning one with pages of worthless advanced concepts about a command when you just want to know what the macro is, I think many people find themselves in my situation where it’s too embarrassing by now to ask what I know in my heart is a simple function that cad has got to have, but to say out loud would be worse than cussing in church. For this particular video, and knowing what I now know, I’ve avoided the UCS for decades all because some “mentor” in the beginning, said “Never mess with that, it will make all of your survey coordinate data screwed up!” Shame on me for trusting without verifying! Thank you so much for the clear, direct, and simple instruction. Now I’m on fire dying to know what other basics I missed self-teaching that you all will blow my mind with as I take the wind generated from your deserved laughing behind my back to fill my sails to better service and productivity. Im all with you. I too worked in a CAD office and have experienced the same. CAD doesn't have to be complicated! And I know what you mean about worse than cussing in church. 😀 Stay tuned for more videos like this one.

Hi, yes, you can rotate the UCS with the Ribbon and command line. The three-point option will move the UCS origin to the plane. Hope this helps
