I never saw someone with so many engine problems. Still got 5 trucks from 99-03 That haven't been touched C15s 3 dump truck 2 tri axle heavy haul 🤷♂️
It's nice having a shop to fix the trucks again. A lot nicer to be able to work inside instead of outside in the weather
That utility truck was the best investment ever for your company Tim 👌😁👍

Yes it was Very handy
Good ol Fitzgerald junky built engines.they are thrown together with what ever parts they have and use all pai internal parts. I’ve worked on a lot of the trucks they built and idk how the engines even run. The last 389 I did with a 60 series done the same thing but on the driver side. After removing the head found the head bolt holes all had metal shavings in the holes from counter bores or block surfacing and head bolts were not torquing all the way down.that truck had 342k miles on it at that time.yall keep up the good work God bless

Amazing they figured out how to sabotage one of the best motors ever made. Million mile motors blowing up before 400k. Crazy
What happened to the nice new, clean Gentry Trucking shop?
Over fueling polishing the liners
That black Peterbilt is the best looking truck you have in your fleet
Soon as he said "Fitzgerald", we ALL put our heads down. Just tear it down & rebuild/tune it right. That's a great looking 389! So, let her run & eat like she wants to.
Why no updates on the wrecker? I thought we'd have seen it done and working by now
That's Fitzgerald engine for ya.
I should have known Steve was a ham radio operator. Not too many run-of-the-mill CBers have a $260 antenna analyzer. He definitely knows antenna efficiency. 73 Steve de WØRHP

Red valve cover 500 hp N-14 Cummins or a 475 hp 3406B Cat for the win !
I noticed Westin 's truck still doesn't have any paint on it, come on Guys you keep promising to build it. Get with the program, Love you guys keep up the good work.

They are totally restoring that truck now. That is not an easy process and takes years. I'm sure there's 1000's of hours in sanding alone. I don't know about you but I don't want to see a couple thousand hours of just someone rubbing sandpaper over primer. Over and over

Good ole Fitzgerald
Tim spray your belts with some silicone spray and your belts will stop squeaking.
Don’t you love it when people don’t indicate till the last minute they are definitely in another world
Best looking truck in your fleet. That Black Beauty is one bad to the bone truck.
Quick work on Bonnie. Glad it was a simple job
Thanks for the excellent presentation I really enjoy all of your content Tim .
just rebuilt ny detroit series 60 and guess what was on the liner's. made in china! took the head to one of the best machine shop in pa.they told me that detroit's head's are junk! i won't buy a detroit rebuild kit ever again.i went with ipd after alot of reserch. their kit really impressed me with the quality of there gaskets and other parts.
Beautiful truck Tim.
If you get the coil higher than cab , the ideal is 0 or as close to that as possible so it doesn’t have one directional receiving is best , especially with a kicker , a ground wire to the frame will do away with picking up static.
Timmy I feel like you all are rebuilding engines in frame outta frame you should get decals for the engines that say " Gentry and Sons Built in the hills of Tennessee"
I know your hunting for horse power . Know this there’s swept volume and non swept volume . Turning up power cam changes . Fuel volume and air from bigger turbos . An increase in cylinder volume is required . Other wise head gaskets will eventually push out from between block and head ..larger dish in top of . The extra fuel and air will raise up the compression lost to larger pocket or dish in piston . piston to drop compression is what we have to do .the gasket told its story of a tighter squeeze . Not tellin u what to do just info on why !have a good one , 389 ,Fitzgerald looks good !

Good job guys❤
the copper spray on sealer is good stuff. That's what I used on the 1985 Ford F150 4.9l inline six 300 cid. I used it on the combination manifolds (intake and exhaust mount together). I tried the Indianhead Copper Sealer in the bottle on my Ford Granada 250cid 4.1l inline six head gasket. I don't know how well it sealed. When I pull the head again, I'll probably used the spray next time. Both the Classic and the 389 sounds good. y'all stay safe out there. much love and respect brother
Nice you are loyal to Fitzgerald. They did have a issue with motors over several years, depending on who rebuilt it , factory or other shops. Had bit of issue standing up for their warranty till Penske got involved with them at end, when they was supposed to build the Nikola trucks. Hope your loyalty gains you with Semi Causual.
This may be off topic but I have a question. What ever happened to that guy that did your tunes and had a new "system" for engine rebuilds?
Good morning Gentry Family, thanks for the video Tim and all you do for US THE PEOPLE, stay on your grind and leave the haters in your rear view mirror because that's where they belong.I want to start driving again at the beginning of the year but I only have class b cdl do you have to have class a to work for your company? Hi Tim Gentry and Sons and family
Good evening Tim and family
Worked for a company that had 3 Pete 389’s from Fitz . 1 didn’t make it 1000 miles & they towed it back from Pa with a bad head gasket. 1 with 170,000 miles & the Bull Gears had to be replaced. 3rd one went to about 400,000 miles & got rebuilt by Detroit.

THAT SHOP IS GETTING A WORK OUT.
Go get yourself a single 102" whip antenna and mount it behind your sleeper . make yourself some holders to keep it as straight as possible up to the top of your sleeper.
Two antennas can be a bitch unless you go through all the steps when putting them on . if you want two put a dummy one on but don't hook it up . that's my opinion .
There goes Steve damn talking again man has done everything he can build a damn house out of paper clips let him tell it
Get yourself a needle for ya Greasegun n inject that bearing seal with some high temp Grease with graphite... make that bearing dang near out last the truck 👌careful not to push out the seal tho... Friendly FYI ol school trick.

Just rebuild it tim and use pdi stuff on it and tune it to 600 horse and let her ride
I've got a 2017 60 series Fitzgerald hope it stays together it's only got 270 thousand miles on it
That’s true it’s most of the time tuned for 10 meters not 11 meters and at the wattage of a connex 33hp average 3 watt dead key swing 45 50 watts it will have better modulation with a higher swr round 1.5 swr is my suggestion due to it on a modulation meter and you will have 300% modulation and better peak output I personally run a adjustable antenna match inline but it doesn’t make a lot of difference bare footed I’m normally swinging around 1000 watts myself been doing this for years so not I was born in 1979 cd were a big deal back then I have $10,000 in my system lol anyways brother I hope all is well with you and yours I really appreciate you sharing your life with us love this channel never miss a video brother god bless you and yours Jeremy Trent Greenville Tn
With the boat contacts you have. I figured you would have some salvage options 😉.
Those Antananarivo were called beer cans back in the day
I passed the classic today in Missouri
Was the green Coronado broke down on the side of highway 70 in Kansas yesterday outside of Topeka I could have swore it was your truck but I went by it too fast to see where the stickers were at
The classic sounds like it could use a harness upgrade too...that initial slow crank like rooster used to do is concerning lol
My Ex father n law built truck engines for a living and he had two cab overs over the road I’ve seen him Double Head Gaskets and put them out the door I question him he said they will run and they ran till next rebuild
Do you loose a motor per week or what ? Ive been working for the same small company for 23 years. They have a total of 9 or 10 trucks. In 23 years they may of lost 5 motors. What are you doing anyway ?
Hi Tim have U seen next truck sales in Canada new non dpf trucks with remanufactured drive trains and a 3 yr warranty.
I passed that earlier today going into St. Louis
NIce work, did they fix the issue in the newer models? Thanks for the video.
That was a awesome video I'm glad you guys got the 389 back on the road hope you all have a blessed night god bless love you all 👍🙏❤️💯
Howdy howdy y'all
A 10 Meter Antenna would be shorter than a 11 Meter CB Antenna . I would replace the coax with a Half Wave of known good and test from there.. You could check the coax with a dummy load on the antenna end and use the MFJ to test the coax.. A Wison 1000 truck Antenna should tune with out cutting unless the the whip has ben replaced.. Make Sure the door is Well RF Grounded with Flat Braid !
Hope this works!
