Thanks you as always for sharing. I like you give history about the Tamborim rhythms and the percussionists. There's the one rhythm similar to the Bomba rhythm, I've never heard before!

Are you referring to the Danzon pattern on timbales? I'm not familiar with the word Cinquillion, so I Google the name and got a reference to Danzon. There are definite similarity in rhythms from Cuba, Brazil, Haiti, etc. I think this is because these rhythms are coming from the same African root. I hear the same rhythms played in Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico, etc. the only difference is in name only. So why not Cinquillion Cuba!
