I got news for you: The Three Stooges did in a way die off. They're not as multigenerational as they once were. A few years ago, I brought them up in a FB Group only to learn I was the only one in said group who knew about them. They've begun their journey into being forgotten sadly. Only a matter of time before they're about as well remembered as say, Theda Bara (You may be asking yourself "Who?" and I would reply with "Exactly! Nobody (at least nowadays) knows who Theda Bara was much like how nobody nowadays knows who The Three Stooges were")
Shemp is by far my favorite!!! So good at being a dummy. Lovable character.

Shemp was funny but in a far different way. His talent simply didn't fit the Stooges. In addition he looked too much like Moe. He was far funnier when he went solo. By FAR the one with the most talent was Curly. Nobody ever came close to replacing him.
Shemp was my fave. It is said that Shemp was the most naturally funny out of those that comprised The Stooges. 🚬😎

I think it was in 1961 when I was 7 or 8 years old I was lucky enough to see the Three Stooges at a live performance at a New York theme park called Freedom Land. The orchestra provided the sound effects with an amplified bass drum making a loud "boom" when Moe hit Curly-Joe in the stomach and hitting a block of wood when Moe hit Larry on the head. My mother became a fan that day when the Stooges told us not to hit our friends or brothers and sisters like they do. Moe said (paraphrasing as best as I can remember) "We know how to do it without hurting each other. We really like each other and do it just to be funny."

I have always loved The Three Stooges. It's so sad that Curly passed away so young. He was my favorite; so it's heartwarming to see Curly's grandson, Brad Server aka Curly G, now carrying on the legacy. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. 🙂❤ Thank you for this video. If I ever travel to CA, visiting the Stooges gravesites to pay my respects will be on my agenda.

Curly was a dog lover, bless his happy heart!
My favorite was always Shemp but loved all of them. Each had their own flare in comedy.
My favorite stooge was Shemp. I always give kudos to both Joe Besser and Curly Joe DeRita because they did their level best to fill some pretty big shoes. Curly's grave is directly behind his parents graves. Their headstones are written all in Hebrew or Yiddish so you would not have known who they were. There is one more Howard brother buried in the same cemetary. Jack Howard was Moe's older brother and he outlived Moe by a year or so. He died in 1976 aged 84. The oldest Howard brother was named Irving. He died in 1939 aged 48. He is buried in a cemetery in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was the only brother who kept his surname of Horowitz. Irving Horowitz died very young, dying before his parents did.

I love Shemp the best, an original stooge and so very underrated, later on he proved vital to the act when Curly couldn't perform anymore.
Curly is the only one for me, my most favorite Stooge forever. I only learned about a year ago that he died the year before I was born and I am kind of going through a period of grieving for him. I fell in love with him when I was about 5 and I'm so glad I didn't know he was already gone when I was younger. Shemp was pretty cool, but there was always no one but Curly in my heart. I love watching the Three Stooges, I myself am a Stooge fan, too bad they are now gone R.I.P.
It's easier to pick my least favorite Stooge than my favorite Stooge, and that would be Joe Besser. I always thought that Joe Besser was a much better fit with Abbott and Costello. The four original Stooges, Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp were *all* GREAT, each in their own way.
I love watching The Three Stooges they were so funny in some of the episodes and my favorite was Curly Howard and Larry Fine.
Love the 3 stooges - decades later and their short films never seem to get old. I’ve seen some of them in color; and those are a real treat! Although the color ‘tones’ look much different than modern color on television these days. Curly and Shemp r my 2 favs. I love that childlike innocence of Curly’s character; but sometimes I’m more in the mood 4 the more refined and mature qualities that Shemp’s character would personify.

Thanks for sharing that.
So many good memories of laughter they brought us. Sadly they were treated so badly by the movie industry. God bless them.
I remember watching The Three Stooges in the morning before I went to school at 9 years old I love them back then and love them now. This kind of Comedy was way out in front of anything else before or since. These guys will always be the best to me
I loved them all,but Shemp was my favorite and never got the credit due him. God Blesd
