they're doing it on purpose because the league is sponsored now by sports betting. they're point shaving on a massive scale. the next time you see a bullshit ejection, or a bullshit foul call, or a bullshit tech that isn't an ejection it's just a weird tech, then do a google search to see what the point spread was for that game and what the score was when the bad call happens. you'll notice a pattern *really* quickly

I assume its because you have to forfeit the match? I don't think kicking a single player out of a basketball game is the same as kicking a single player out of a tennis game when that single player is the entire team. Now it would be crazy if the entire basketball team was ejected

This begins with points and escalates to game penalties and forced match forfeiture if you continue to accrue penalties. Literally played in college.
