Thanks for watching and Subscribing Paul. In that price range I’d buy a Mileseey, either the 210 or 270 - feel a little more solid compared to the Aofar. If you can find it on offer, next option up for me would be the Motocaddy Pro 3000 or Shot Scope Pro LX - I have full reviews on both 👍

To be honest I’d say the Aofar performs just as well as the mileseey pf210, but it does feel a little bit cheaper and Etta only sits larger in the hand, so I depends how much you value the slightly smaller form factor and better quality feel of the mileseey. But there’s no difference in terms of performance in my opinion 👍

Going to go with the more compact Wosport, hope I'm not disappointed...

Hate to sound stupid but can I point these at a ball or another target to get a distance? Or does it only lock on to a pin? I'd like to use one for working on wedge yardages.

Not a stupid question at all Duncan 👍 each have a scan mode that will just send back yardages as you move the viewfinder, which generally work fine…they’ll just find it harder to ‘lock on’ to something that’s not a solid object (like a flag pole, wall, take etc’

Thanks for watching Josh. Battery life seems fine. I've used the Aofar quite a lot over the last 6 months and it's still on full battery.

Great review. Really enjoyed it. However, please leave out the background music next time. It was a bit distracting and weird to me.

@@GolfGuyReviews I totally get your intention here. Nevertheless, my focus is on you the tester/presenter and I would be fine if the music would fade in and out on short breaks/scene switches. However, during talking the higher beeps were as I said a bit weird and distracting. At first I had to look in my house where a radio was still turned on and playing 😂 however, again: great review - also on other videos. Keep up the great work! Really like your channel.

In terms of accuracy I think they are very similar. The Mileseey is a little more compact and feels a little more solid and higher quality 👍

@@stuartcarson9378 Good question...honestly, probably not, but it all comes down to what you want to spend. There is a noticeable difference between the feel and size of them. But they do the same job so if you're happy the Aofar is a little bigger and more plasticky than the Mileseey, I'd say no need to spend the extra £30.

Does the Aofar give slope yardage?.

Good review. Couldn’t help but laugh when I heard you said you could change the device’s metric readout from meters to yards easily whether you’re in America or the UK, as if you forget that we’re like the only remaining countries that still use the empirical system.. yards, miles, and pounds! Though you guys still say stones when counting your weight which is totally weird to hear and workout.

Thanks for watching! Haha very true. It's a nightmare as I was taught to measure everything in metric, although everyone still measures speed and distance in imperial. Most use imperial for weight too, even though all the packaging is in imperial....it's a bloody nightmare!!!!!!!! 😂

Thanks for watching and sharing, that's a shame it's not working as well as you'd like. I've used the Aofar several time, and given it to a friend to test as well, didn't experience any issues when testing it a longer distances. When I tested it side by side against a Bushnell Tour V5 Shift, it performed well, the Bushnell was easier to lock on with for sure at over 200yd, but I never had an instance of not getting the flag lock to work, even when I tested at 400yd.

Packaging dosent matter what a waste of time
