Secondly, this is about Motorsport and the German people, the German people had nothing to do with WW2, so pull your head out of your ass and show some respect, yes this is def heaven, if you can't see that, you are not a true Motorsport fan.

You did a great job capturing the spirit of this race! The atmosphere out in the woods is just terrific, it does not matter, where one comes from, how old one is or what he does the other 360 days of the year, because for one week they are all united in the same mud, shoes soaked and freezing in the tents at night. You can just come by at anyones campfire and you will be warmly welcomed and given a beer. And besides there is the greatest race on earth taking place! Just 136 days to go...

Best Shakedown in a long time. I love the focus and extended format that Drive provides. The Ring is legend. A place all racing enthusiast should venture to once in their life. Bravo, well done Leo.

With selected motorsport events and great car reviews...even from these early basis, we can All smell the passion that have and can give the hosts to us.., Top Gear and Fifth gear are auto reviews...this is a channel...and is FAR better at a time in which we are overloaded of spare info and videos...SO START guys...START DRIVE!

Excellent work FLD crew. I don't think Leo has ever been this enthusiastic about an event on camera, at least not to my limited knowledge. Once again this phenomenon that started off as a youtube show has grown into a celebration of cars and racing, for racing and car fans BY racing and car fans. Onto the subject, I definetely got the impression that the Nurburgring isn't just a race, its almost a tribal gathering.

Well done Drive. What a great start. From a long standing fan of FLD, I look forward to following Drive and its talented cast. P.S. I'm really happy this is in HD.

Holy freaking smokes, this was one of the best youtube videos I've ever seen in my life, and one of the best short documentaries on racing I've seen (on and off youtube). Simply superb, fantastic.

Been waiting for this Nurburg edition since the race itself, but it was well worth it! Nurburgring is truly the grandest of all races, a dream for any car enthusiast to experience let alone race. My thanks to all you guys for bringing us but a glimpse of the energy and passion surrounding the 24 hour race!

I got goosebumps during the opening scenes of driving to the track. Reminds me so much of when I went to Grüne Hölle last summer. What an amazing experience!

Great vid! Every time i see videos of this circuit, i get that same funny feeling through my body as when i drove around it on a tourist lap session. The place just feels so nostalgic. Wish Britain had something like it. But it just wouldnt be the same. There is a lot of rain in the eiffel hills. You stand by the side of the track waiting for it to dry, to go out on, then it just rains again. Computer games do a very good job of teaching you the layout of the circuit.

DRIVE kicks off with a bang. Fantastic production quality on this video. I will be looking forward to all the new content from hear on out.

My favorite weekend every year. I have the race streaming on all tv’s of my house and always invite friends over. Even though they don’t care about racing, alcohol and food is enough motivation for them to come

My mate got me an £80 steering wheel and it does make project cars soooo more fun, not so much forza due to the sensitivity when using the wheel. I haven't got round to looking in the settings or anything yet though

Forget TG:USA, I'd rather watch this than TG:UK. Superb and relevant commentary, no absurd hyperbole, pure journalism. If I were to nitpick I'd say I wouldn't have dismissed the challenges faced driving at night so quickly; "only" seven hours in darkness sounds pretty difficult when you're at the limit of your capabilities.

What an awe inspiring production you guys at /drive and /shakedown have put out. I am truly inspired to fly out and experience this event first hand sometime in my life. Fantastic Job Leo, and the team.

One of the must things to do in life; attend this event! It's truly spectacular to just watch some of the best cars and drivers come together to race. So wish I was there right now during the rain!

This is maybe the best video i've seen about the 24h race at he Nürburgring 2011 so far. Although its "only" 13 miuntes long it shows everything i've expierienced when i've been there for the first time this year, just an aweseome expierence, and i'll be there 2012 too.
