The 2024 Lexus RC 350 F-Sport Is An Endangered V6 Powered Sport Luxury Coupe

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Buyers interested in purchasing a brand-new luxury coupe have fewer and fewer options to choose from every year. #Lexus is one of the few brands to still offer something with this 2024 #LexusRC350 in the F-Sport trim. The latest #RC350FSport is due for a redesign and as it is today, this is the last model in the segment to offer a naturally aspirated V6 engine. The #LexusRC may be part of a dying species, but it is still one of the best choices out there if you want a car that will last a long time with very little problems.

That V6 despite it being a very old but proven engine, it is still a masterpiece to listen to ~~ Lexus builds quality vehicles that will last you a lifetime and no other luxury brand from Europe focuses on this aspect. Yes this car is old just like the IS, but you can’t deny that it still a great car to drive.

@TheBreakfastLover that's is true that it's competitors are 6 cylinder turbos. For 60k, that's exactly what I did, I bought a g70 3.3t sports prestige awd. 311hp from the RC350F sport vs the 365 twin turbo v6 in the g70 but then again, the g70 is underrated from factory. People dynoing their g70 at 330whp stock, so it must be around 390-400hp at crank. Not only that, I get 100k mile 10 year warranty and I bought and extra $4000 60k 3 extended warranty on top of that. 160k mile warranty/13year warranty is super nice.

I recommend a used RC350 for under $20k vs buying a new one. I test drove a 2016 and it was comfortable, quiet, quick, and the MarK Levinson sound system was spectacular. I didn’t buy it because while it looks good inside and out, very reliable, in the end it just didn’t elicit an emotional response and in a sports coupe I was looking for that. On paper it’s perfect, but I ended up buying an nb1 Miata and I know these two are not cross shopped often because they are vastly different in execution and experience. No disrespect to anyone who buys one of these as they are great.

Coming up on 4 years with my 2020 RC 350 F-Sport rear wheel drive. I am averaging 31-33 mpg on the freeway, Did just the front brakes at 46,000 miles and still have the original front tires at 52,000 miles. The car has been problem free and very comfortable to drive and spend hours commuting. I have had many cars over the years and this one is the finest and a real keeper. It is a GT and not a sports car. I can only hope that the eventual replacement is as good or better, as only time will tell. But this vehicle is a keeper. There are many haters out there, but now most of my friends and familiy are driving Lexus products. I wonder why?

Owner of a used 2019 RC350 FSPORT AWD here, I love every second with it. Currently saving up/holding out for a facelifted RCF in the future. I was originally saving up for a GT/GR86 but one test drive in the RC and this was the coupe I ended up getting. I go back and forward on how I feel about my RC not having the triple beams. Put it this way, IMO the regular lights fit the facelift profile so much better but Lexus Triple Beams are a nice non-essential thing to have. If you have the option to go for the triple beams do so, otherwise the stock lights are more than enough. I just didn't like how Lexus designed the lights for the facelift, they just look so cramped, the older RC's Triple Beams looked so much better. I am bummed that Android Auto isn't a thing for me from factory but it's not a deal breaker. It's a weird yet beautiful car. Driving my RC always puts a smile on my face and I can't get over how comfortable it is to ride. The LFA inspired instrument panel is amazing to look at and is actually very practical when daily driving. Great car used, but brand new, you have to really be sure that the RC is the right car for you and that you can live with all its strengths and quirks. Shop around and test drive everything and if the RC ends up being the car for you, you won't be disappointed.

This will be a long comment but I've always loved the Lexus RC. When my mom was looking for a unique, reliable car in 2016 I suggested the RC; she picked up a base RC300 AWD. She still owns it, and it's the longest I've ever seen her own a car and she has never had an issue with it. When I bought my first new car, I picked up a 2021 Corolla Hatchback 6MT. I quickly found that I really wanted something more powerful, other people were having mechanical failures related to the manual gearbox, and as I work in the mountains and see a lot of snow AWD was very much a 'nice to have'. I also really wanted that tried and true 2GR V6. I considered ordering a new Camry XSE V6, looked around for gently used Avalons and ES350s, and was generally not super impressed with what I found. I lucked out and found a 2019 RC350 AWD with 10K on the clock. It wasn't the F-Sport, but I prefer the base model's analog gauges and the color combination(Eminent White Pearl on Glazed Caramel) was unique and beautiful. The fact it was loaded with every option except the F-Sport package and triple beam headlights(the standard headlights flow better with the exterior styling in my opinion) was icing on the cake. This has been the best daily driver I've owned since my second-gen Acura Legend coupe nearly 15 years ago, and it reminds me so much of that car despite being a Toyota product. I generally prefer manual transmissions over automatics, but the 6-speed box in the RC350 is quite responsive when coming from the '90s and '00s slushboxes I've owned in the past. It's a heavy car but you can definitely get it to hustle around a corner; the torque split is RWD biased and when the traction breaks it does tend to get tail-happy. The paddle shifters are a good touch and can be used while the shifter is in Drive; this is useful for extra engine braking when descending hills. I do wish it would hold gears to redline in manual mode, however. Being a 2019 it doesn't have the touchscreen; I've grown used to the touchpad interface and can use it fairly well(driving my mom's RC300 on long road trips also helped). I'm one of those weirdos who don't like smartphones so I've never used the phone integration. The foglights mentioned in the video are in fact cornering lamps; they'll turn on with your turn signals or if your steering wheel is angled past a certain point. While I like foglights, I find the cornering lamps quite useful. The RC can also be specced with a heated steering wheel; during this recent cold snap I found it quite welcoming(though like with Toyota wheels, the heating element is only on the 2-4 o'clock and the 8-10 o'clock sections). The Mark Levinson sound system is amazing, and is the best audio system out of any car I've ever owned. As far as overall performance the RC350 is quick enough. It's a heavy car but it has more than enough muscle to get out of its own way and to be fun on twisty backroads. It's not a fire-breathing V8, but I'm not a fan of the small-displacement turbo I4s(especially with heavier cars), hybrid systems, or EVs that have flooded the market. The V6 is nice and responsive, and the RC/IS is literally the only way you can get a current Toyota/Lexus car with AWD and a V6. I've had this car for nine months and overall it's been great. I've had a couple of quirks with the HVAC(it's blown full hot on the passenger side on a couple of mornings) but zero issues other than that. It's a superb car and is one I still see myself driving in ten years(or longer). If you are looking for a modern car that still feels analog and not like you're surrounded by a giant tablet computer, the RC350 or IS350 is very much worth looking at.

The Germans will say it's a GT but make it so fast and make it corner so well that the car looses it's ability to do the GT part. If you want a sports car there's the supra.. If that's too expensive there's the GR 86. Toyota has something for everyone. They don't play around with a winning formula. The engine is an old one but you know it's solid and parts are everywhere should something were to happen (I honestly don't know when that will be) and by now technicians and mechanics should be well clued up with it. Nice review. I have a 2019, and I love the car. It’s sporty when you need it or just want to have fun, but extremely comfortable on a long drive. The infotainment is lousy, but I just use Apple CarPlay, so who cares? I have had zero issues with the car. At 25k miles it feels like it’s just starting to be broken in, and it gets better and better. I get up to 32MPG on a long freeway drive.

Love my 2015 RC350! I think these cars have aged well and are great value used. Love that blue color! Also, my RC only gets 16.5 to 17 MPG with just city driving and low 20s on the highway. I don’t know why it gets such poor gas mileage. Does anyone else have that problem?

Interesting, I have a 2020 F-Sport, rear wheel drive, and I constantly get 32 to at times 33 mpg on the freeway. At 46,000+ miles, I am still on the original front tires, and just had my front brakes done. After more than 3 years, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and will most likely keep this vehicle for at least 200,000 miles. This. is one nice car.

@@m.newman7722 what does yours get in town? I think AWD makes a bigger difference then we might think and mine is 5 years older than yours and yours has the slightly retuned 3.5 V6 so it’s making slightly more horsepower and torque than mine so I wonder if they did anything else with the newer model years (2019 facelift and up) that would make them be slightly better on gas.

So yeah your FIRST POST WAS MISSING SOMETHING, it's called DETAILS. To say that the RC is the last car in the segment with a V6 is WRONG. It's the last car in the segment with a naturally aspirated V6 is correct and it really doesn't mean shit when that V6 gets it's trounced by the other 6-cylinders in the class and even by some 4-cylinders.
