    It truly is amazing how awesome a Ninja 650 clone-ish engine can sound. Has a major adult man angry-growl sound to it, really am looking forward to this being my next bike. And it seems the '23 sounds better than the '22. Kind of weird...

    I have this bike (2022) and its awesome! One note, be sure to remove the washer on the reverse gear sensor and put some lock tight on the nut before replacing. That'll keep the gear position indicator from acting up. Other than that, this is one of my favorite bikes that i have owned.

    This just happened to me on the clx700 adventure I got in on february and it has around 500miles, do you have pictures or a link where to fix this or should I just take it to the cfmoto dealer and they would know?

  • @nickolaslewis4416

    @nickolaslewis4416

    Жыл бұрын

    @@GabTheAce The dealer would know and unfortunately, I can’t load any photos on here. If you look on the right hand side of your bike, remove the cover by the front sprocket and you should see a wire connected to another wire that leads to the computer of the bike. Disconnect this wire and you will see that the wire leads to a screwed in sensor. Use a socket wrench to remove the sensor and that is the reverse gear sensor. At the very end, you should be able to push down on the ball shaped node. That’s what relays to the computer what gear the bike is in based upon how deep it’s depressed and the electrical current it is receiving. On my model, it had a washer between the engine case and the screw itself that prevented the bike from getting a consistent signal in sixth. Removing that washer and applying lock tight to the threads before reinstalling alleviated this issue. If it’s still under warranty, take your bike to the shop and they’ll do it for you while you wait. It’s a quick fix.

Not just on how your body takes it's shape to the design of the bike, but you can also feel the difference on the engines. Yep, like you said, its great for taller and bigger rider. I had a ninja 650 a few years ago as my first bike. The riding triangle is more cramped compared to clx700 but the pegs are not really tall. And that suspension is very easy to bottom out although preload was adjusted all the way. This bike is my first new bike after taking my MSF course this year. So I guess it is literally a first bike for a big sized new rider. And just using the factory suspension setting i can ride pretty comfortable. This bike's ECU had 2 bumps, once after 5k and once after 7k, very interesting and exciting. Definitely love the Stylema brembo brakes and brembo pump, same caliper as Ducati panigale v4s 😂 also like the factory Maxxis tires.

    For those that don't know, CF Moto got their "knowledge" of building bikes with KTM since 2011. They produce some of KTMs engines. These bikes are the kinds of formidable products China will be producing in the coming years. The question is, will there be a "passion" for the market and its customers? I think somehow CF Moto has that. They are producing very decent quality bikes, that look good and run good, but at crazy good prices too. The market needs to watch out for this brand IMHO!

I felt the engine quite heavily through the foot pegs and that seemed to be annoying for longer rides. How can you recommend a bike by riding it for a few minutes, not knowing if it will have a lot of quality issues after a few months or years? How about valves changes-every 40,000 km for the MT-07 and every 10,000 for the RE Interceptor. That might tell something about the quality. How about the CFMoto? I would like to hear your thought (since I'm a newbie). Do you think it's possible to tell something the long term quality without riding the bike for an extended period of time? Thanks!

    I'd say ABS is the only "need" that a beginner should have. Traction control is kinda excessive in my opinion. I have always turned it off on the bike that I owned that had it. The only way I can see TC being a "need" is if you plan on buying a 100+ hp bike as your first motorcycle (not recommended).

    Get ABS for sure and ignore the riders who tell you that you should learn without ABS. I've been riding my ABS bike for 7 years now and know that ABS has barely clicked in during my rides, even in the heavier use of the brakes. When you practice your emergency braking in a parking lot, you will know the difference between your braking and an activated ABS braking for you. There is a pulse you can feel when the ABS is activating. And no, this is not anecdotal, you can find information on what your brakes feel like with ABS activates. For this, you should practice emergency braking so you know the feeling of your ABS so you don't sht yourself when you are in a situation where you take a fist full of brakes and decide to let go since you're feeling a 'weird' sensation when braking.

    That's the catch with all new things. You get a good deal in exchange for something that's unproven. Kind of like buying a new home in the early stages of a new housing community or investing in a brand new product. It's up to you if you feel comfortable with parting with your money for a product that's a great deal but is unproven. I did and I'm loving my decision so far. I have purchased parts and the rear pillion (I have the sport model) and it only took a week for the part to arrive. Whenever I take it in for routine maintenance, there hasn't been any issue for the shop to get what ever they order. Granted, I suppose the supply system will be put to the test the first time when someone significantly damages their bike that requires major repair. Given the level of support my local dealer has demonstrated so far, I assume that the repair time will be similar as any other brand. 🤷🏽‍♂

    @@commanderstud2417 It cooked your crotch. Buffeting was bad and wind protection was not all that great. Very vibey .The tank fuel sensor was bad out of the factory waited 3.5 months for a part. Kick stand sensor went at 2500km. I think there was something else wrong because half the time the bike would fail to start in Gear with kick stand up and clutch it. Made it an outright dangerous thing if the bike stalled in an intersection. I teach MST and we stop and shut the bike down with kick stand down. Half the time bike just didn't start until put into neutral. The fueling was terrible, throttle was jerky as hell. The riding modes made no difference at all it just at more fuel. Mirrors sucked, the fairing were cheap and poor quality attached with double sided velcro and tape and had chunks of it files and drilled and forced to fit at the factory. Warranty is horrible 5 year or 10k km.. Seriously? I ended up trading it in and I am happy I got 5600 cdn for it, hell the RE Meteor had better trade in value. The bike was seriously sketchy at around 134kph. Worse bike I ever owned. Oh and the CFMoto app is seriously useless, Navigation would give you directions in inches, if it could even find your location it used some bizzare mapping system. A Premium machine at bargain basement pricing equates to unsurpassable value. CF moto is top tier in Chinese motorcycle manufacturing and has collabs with both European and Japanese manufacturers, which says a lot for the quality of the brand. They build engines for KTM and let's face it KTM is a premium brand with unquestionable performance and quality in motorsports. For the money you will be hard pressed to beat this machine unless you are buying used. It doesn't hurt that it is an attractive looking bike never mind all the premium performance parts that are on it.

Our economies are interdependently interwoven and believe it or not, both counties need each other. Politics aside, the trade arrangements that exists is a direct result of capitalism and the greed of domestic manufacturers. Given this fact and the reality that most Americans have less "play" money than in years past, I don't fault ANYONE for getting the most bang for their buck. Besides, I can't imagine a world where America didn't have an issue with counties such as England, Germany, Japan, Italy, Korea, etc. These guys have always had the US' best interests in mind right?!?
