The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Is A Significantly Improved Big American Truck

When the all-new #ChevroletSilverado came out in 2019, it was a huge step forward in capability, but a huge disappointment in the exterior design and interior. For 2022, the new #SilveradoHighCountry looks to rectify those flaws with a new exterior design, more power under the hood, and a much more modern and premium interior. The new #Silverado finally takes the fight to Ford and Ram and some may even question the need to get the mechanically similar and more expensive #SierraDenali.

Looks like Chevrolet is tired of Ram and Ford having the best interiors in the segment because this new Silverado ramps things up pretty significantly! We question the need to get the Sierra Denali, especially when you look at the substantial price difference between the two trucks.

If you get the 6.2 engine and don't open up the exhaust, you're missing on a lot of horsepower. There is a reason why Chevy pushes the catback exhaust. It will add a lot more than 10 hp, more like 30 hp.

I have a 2022 LTZ Z71 with the 6.2 engine and it runs like a scalded dog, it will spin the tires from a dead stop. The secret to getting the 6.2 to run is opening up the exhaust. That's why chevy offers the catback exhaust system as an option. My 6.2 is now pushing 445 hp.

The only differences between this generation (pre-refresh) and the last gen. Was that they added dynamic fuel management, which didn't do much in terms improving fuel economy. They made the ride quality slightly better, they gave it a turbo 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder diesel. The V8's have essentially been the same since 2014. Producing the same amount of power for almost 9 years. Likely keeping the V8's until everything switches to EV.

No hybrid can beat it fuel economy. 6.2L is the smoothest engine in the segment. It's days maybe numbered but Ford went to such engine in their HD lineup for a reason. How come Ford went with a new 6.8L only 445 vs 580 in powerboost. The main reason is Ford doesn't use the hybrid motor in tow haul mode. You clearly don't know GM was the first to use some type of hybrid with 5.3L V8. All goes back to 2004 when tech was not good. Around 2012 a 6L hybrid came into the picture.
