    I've owned several Volvos and they are life savers in accidents, but I don't trust the complexity of the power train. I agree a nice straight six with perhaps a 48 volt assist system would have been a better approach.

    Agreed. Volvo should engineer a turbocharged straight six or V6 for their larger cars. The 2.0T is fine for most of their smaller ones, like the XC40/60, and the S/V60.

  • @mho0

    @mho0

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@cptmiche I cannot proof you would be wrong :). I found this somewhere and so far I have believed it: "The manual adjustment is due to safety design. The engineers were not able to get the steering column and mechanisms to collapse out of the way in a frontal crash with an electronically adjustable unit, given wiring harnesses and connections. The manual column completely snaps and drops under, and out of harms way." That also indicates it is not only about airbag. Maybe Volvo figures out some day how to do it so that it satisfies their safety standards. I also believe that Volvo's internal safety standards are pretty close the best in the world ... but this feature would anyway be nice...

    Volvo has a reputation for safety. Why then, have they done away with amber/orange rear turn lights on most, if not, all models ??? Much more visible than a red turn light. Nice looking exterior & the interior is exemplary ! Well done review Sofyan ... Slainte' ! Cheers !

    The interior of this reminds me so much of the 2015 Chrysler 200c with the real wood option. The two tone wheel with the white blonde and black, aluminum trim, and wood trim reminds me of a 200c a lot. However the Chrysler has a metal ring going around the wheel.

    Volvo was the 1st to do a fully digital speedometer panel... 2015 was the year they introduced xc90 and the redesign for their line up. They also was the 1st to do hairline headlights. All other car manufacturers including the luxury brand copied Volvo's styling.

    Beautiful car...I owned a 2017 version and it was a POS. Infotainment lags a lot and you have to go through the screen for seat heater and heated steering wheel. The manual tilt and telescoping wheel is more at home in a entry level Ford than a $65K luxury car. Reliability is also an issue with Volvos in general. Also, the twin charged engine is loud and pretty harsh when compared to 6 cylinder equivalents. The BW sound system is amazing and the car looks fantastic. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...but I understand why people would risk it.
