Loool it's sad because the other presenters aren't actually bad. The black guy at 20:20 especially is really professional... ...But yes... it all gets messed up by the main emotional muppet that's trying to win an Oscar here. What's wrong with him? It's like he's trying to be edgy whilst ignoring all the pleas from his advisors around him to please not publish this because it comes across as sociopathic. Well he ignored them and did it anyway. And he's so proud of himself 😂😂😂

For those making stupid "funny" comments about how Panos was looking while talking, look at his picture they showed with his mom and brother. He wasn't smiling and this is how he is. He probably smiles, but not like how most of us do. Part of us being us and not someone else. Get used to it. He's a Damn good presenter and expresses what he's talking about with passion. He loves his job and what he does. I personally can't wait to see it in person.

@@thefallenones7601 In Android everything is an application , if you dig deep into the system files , you will see that most of the core stuff are apks . Windows doesn't work like that . Windows Phone was ahead of it's time. Android was not capable of utilising hardware like windows does. Only because they didn't have enough apps in their platform, it wasn't a huge success. You would be able to play Asphalt 8 smoothly in a windows Phone with 1gb RAM. Android with same hardware can't even run bunch of social media apps together. Android OS itself uses lot of hardware resource which they are optimising more and more as each update rolls in . But I think if Windows Phone was here maybe it might smoke them all. Maybe I think it could be the fastest and most powerful phones if it was there and it caught up with the rapidly growing hardware technology. By the way I don't even want to talk about the third big fish in the market which is surviving on brand value and swallowing other brands by buying it and using their resources ( headsets , the " tags " , ..... )

    1. Windows has had it's cosmetics redesigned. The taskbar, file explorer, start menu, settings app, and basically anything else built into the OS looks modernized and better. The themes have been updated and now have a much more refreshed and beautiful colour palette. The iconography and typography of Windows is revamped. The design choices revolve around the new blue colour, subtle shadows, rounded edges, some changes to the geometry of windows shapes, and some simplifications of outdated logos. There are much more new design features to mention (some of which are really cool, like the way the default background changes theme-to-theme), but I don't want this to be an essay. 2: Ease of use is improved. Snap layouts allow users to select a layout they want to use for windows to display their apps in. When unplugging the keyboard from a Windows device, new touchscreen gestures are turned on, the icons on the taskbar move further apart, among other things. Teams, Outlook and Onedrive are integrated better. Haptics are here too. 3. Windows is able to run Android apps. The Amazon Appstore is the integrated default for installing new apps, however Android apps can be installed from any source. 4. Gaming performance is greatly improved. Auto HDR improves the colours and contrast of games. DirectStorage in the Xbox Series X and S has drastically improved loading times for games, and this technology will be integrated into Windows 11. 5. Other stuff I can't remember, there's lots of it. It's not a huge step from a user experience perspective and it looks remarkably similar to 10, but the behind-the-scenes optimizations and fundamental changes to how windows runs means that they can't just install a package update onto Windows 10 to get it all to work.

@@StupudPerson 1 that is entirely subjective, and I could already make it look like that or anything else if I really wanted to. And just because they did it before doesn't mean it was a good idea then nor does it make it a good idea now. And it's irrelevant anyway as it's just aethetics that can be changed easily enough.

Panos, I like your delivery and the analogy with the house. I've used Microsoft + Windows for 30 years. Yes, Windows 11 is a beautiful, clean, modern update, with certainly some great improvements - accolades! BUT, it has some issues that irk me everyday. As someone who spends a lot of time on photography, I'm frustrated that Win 11 won't allow me to view selected photos on my computer as a slideshow like I could in Win10 - absolutely necessary for comparing photos for edits EVERY DAY. And, playing my music was fun at the click of a PLAY button. Now there are extra steps, neither convenient nor intuitive. You'd think they'd have fixed things like that to be efficient/intuitive again for increased productivity by now, Sep 2023! Sadly, not so. As mentioned, it's a great upgrade with many improvements - kudos again! I can only hope that the addition of AI/Co-Pilot from Nov - which sounds super exciting! - will revert some of these tools and features critical to ease of use and productivity. Now THAT's what I'd call a fantastic game changer!

Do we need to replace our audio interfaces, replace our DAWs, etc. What about security? I heard that the hard drives have to be replaced duo to a new Trusted Platform Module (TPM) needed for Windows 11 to work. I think we need to know a little bet more not only of the good, wonderful stuff, but the other unknown too. The presentation was great, thank you!

@random onlinestranger Yeah, but Linux is not a monolith like Windows. It's fragmented in many different distro's and such. So it's not like Linux is a single thing, which has a large hardware ecosystem 😉 it's many things that could run on many things 😅

Hi Windows, I would appreciate If you can bring back the "time and date icon" on the bottom right of all screens (including second screens). Other than that, fixing the location of "notes" where I put it is greatly appreciated, as everytime I boot up my windows 11 it would always be on my main screen which I will then drag to my second screen every time. It's nice if it always be in my second screen like in the previous windows 10.

I use tiles on Windows Full Screen Start to find stuff instantly. I hope they still use tiles. I guess I'm one of the few that like them.

You know what would be a great change? Make possible to choose the startup icon and the loading spinner. Also for the windows start icon and many others. Customize the start menu like moving the search bar wherever you want, and add widgets like recent apps, the way that apps list, etc
