The wheels on that are absolutely amazing perfect.

It’s interesting people are insinuating that the Mclaren GT resembles a C8 when the Mclaren GT made its debut in March 2019 and the C8 was shown off for the first time in July 2019. 🤷‍♂️

Lightly used 720 still isn't going to be nearly as affordable as a lightly used GT. Don't think Matt's point there is fair. Furthermore a GT car isn't for getting in and out of multiple times an hour, so his door point doesn't impress me much. The fact the the auto mode acts like a normal auto is a huge win for the GT over the 720 as a touring car. You are going to have to inch through city traffic as you tour a lot more than you will be popping in and out of the car. The GT is the better GT.

I know what you mean. Exterior design is perfect, but the interior ruins it for me. Too many angles and textures and borderline Retro-future looking.

I have a 23 GT. The screen with polarized glasses is fine. Have no difficulty seeing screen with my Maui’s or Ray Ban’s. Car rides much better than my M8 convertible. Overall I’m really enjoying the GT!! Great review!!!

Great video Matt. This channel is a gem. If youse guys like this aggressive speed driving 1st person camera perspective, check out another channel on YT by a chap called 'Schaaf'. He is a crazy Austrian who basically does the same thing Matt does but he does it on bikes (Honda, BMW, KTM, Ducati, etc) on AMAZING roads usually in Austria, northern Italy, Spain, etc. Another gem of a channel.

This looks so classy

Really good point about the car being usable and being able to get in and out of it "multiple times a day/multiple times per hour". When I was in my 20s I was like "lolwhut? just daily a race car with harnesses!" Now I'm in my 30s with a messed up back and the closer getting into and out of a car mimics the experience of getting into and out of bed, the happier I am.

Apart from the way you have to get in the car, it’s about as GT as a Supercar based car can be . The ride quality is fantastic. Harry’s Garage did a great 2000 km road trip in one. Harry didn’t like the carbon ceramic brakes

Hey Matt, did you ever figure out what button combination got Launch Control enabled? I am asking because I watched a review on this same vehicle from a fellow KZreadr Redline Reviews. He ran into the same obstacles you did and concluded it had been disabled for his review but clearly you demonstrated it can be enabled. Now I am wondering if it was available but he was unable to decode which buttons needed to be hit to turn it on. Great video as always...

Love the GT it looks amazing

Not sold on the exterior, but I think the interior is absolutely stunning.

As someone who has two pairs of polarized sunglasses, the idea of fully digital screens is a problem. Have you driven any cars with digital screens that don't have issues with polarized lenses?

It’s a nice car and a step forward ; it the depreciation that is a concern I hear some 720s lose a crazy amount, there’s also a back drop that some dealerships offer hearty discounts on their cars since they are not shifting

Simply beautiful

they nailed it. it's not a tiny go-kart for the track, it's good for the streets it's got that Aventador spaceship vibe, but refined daily GT killer fusion minus the show-off, envy provoking, bravado stunts of the Italian exotics don't want that 'look at me, im rich' smoke, especially now. fly under the radar

I'm not big on exotics for performance, but damn do I lust after a real interior after getting out of a 1ss 5th gen.

yes, i want one. i think this is the Mclaren I really want. I want any of the others. I drive an old RSX. i'd take any Mclaren. But this one is just pops for me for some reason. I love it.

Along with ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), this also doesn't come with Lane Change Assistant. Even the current gen. Aston Martin models offer that (same goes for Bentley). They really need to add more driving aids if they intend this to be a "GT" car...

I’m sure Matt was expecting the exhaust to be quiet in the tunnel but to me it sounded loud as fcuk lol. He kinda played it down a lot, quite odd! Guess the extra sound proofing worked!

My dream car along with the Tesla Model S P100DL. I've always wanted a McLaren, especially with the carbon fiber tub, such a safe design and construction. Those guys who went off that mountain in Nevada were VERY lucky they were in a McLaren.

I live in the mountains in central Europe. No flat roads, only up or down. Nearest big water is 500km from here. I miss the sea.

You are so correct!!! This is a Stunning Classy Super Car and the bright colors do not do it Justice. I myself do not like the black or very dark gray normally but on this car it looks INCREDIBLE!!!

Porsche's power band never stops no matter where it's at on revs' the GT according to Matt has to be in the 3300+ rpm range to feel that boost..

Yes, it takes away from the sound of the car. The mic mounted to the windshield, in a normal car with closed windows, offers the best balance between vocals and car sounds.

The difference in looks between this and the C8 is that this doesn't look like a plasticky piece of MESS. It's almost got a James Bond 007-ish kind o' vibe. Very HOT

I not particularly interested in McLarens, but in terms of looks I think this is the best of them, or maybe sort of neck and neck with the 600LT on that front.

Beautiful, clean lines. This is much more what the C8 Corvette could have/should have looked like. Unfortunately that one came out looking a bit like automotive origami on crack . . . Just my .02 mind you. If somebody tossed me the keys to either I'd be a happy man. Remember, growing old is Std Equip., growing up is OPTIONAL!! (Don't check that box)

Nervous for the one-take case left on that ledge like that.
