I saw the older ones driving before and was like that thing looks funny, saw one parked and actually took a second to look at it was like damn this big sporty SUV actually looks super cool, now I have been googling them over the last little while, wish the first gen were more reliable

I don’t understand why auto critics hate these “coupe” SUVs. I think it turns way more heads when you see one drive by then a normal SUV. Whether you like its looks or not at least it stands out - which at this price point you would think you’d want something more unique looking. Stop asking automakers to take risks with new designs and then hate on it when they do..

🙂 I completely agree with you. He is trying to use subliminal messaging so people go for his ideal which is X5. X6 looks way better than the van look of an X5 in my opinion yet still practical. If you want a van or bus for the kids then X5.

Practically the same cargo space as a Tesla Model X when seats are folded, and yet people only hate on this and not the Tesla. I personally love it!!!!

I'm a big fan of the 2020 X6M comp... It's brutally intimidating and mean. And it's so fast, it makes other cars on the road look like they're parked

I wonder what the other drivers are thinking when they see that SUV accelerating so crazy lol

Love this review! Especially the comments about harsh ride not being an issue in comfort mode. You just sealed the deal for me when my lease is up in a few months. My favorite of all X6M reviews!

They did the center screen correctly. Instead of sticking up like a cancerous growth, it is integrated properly into the dash. So many automakers get this wrong.

I love how BMW is trolling everyone with their grill variations. “No such thing as bad publicity”. 😀

That thing is a fuckin beast, I love the X6 and I've always been a fan of the coupe SUVs period, the M version is just absurdity but It's definitely the one I'd take over its competitors the RSQ8 and GLE63... I wasn’t expecting this review. Great review to start the new year!

I still remembered all of them didn't believe X6M would succeed. But the X6M successfully created a whole new segment and all manufacturers finally crowded into this particular segment to copy X6M and earn money. Interestingly the normal X5 and X6 sales ratio is around 4:1(4 X5 : 1X6). But X6M sells as much as X5M and sometimes even more. The first two generations of X6M sold around 20000 units globally while the first two gen X5M number is also around 20000 units. The third gen X6M is better than ever. I think it will also be a huge success. GLE63s Coupe, RsQ8, Cayenne turbo coupe, Urus and others won't be able to compete with X6M. It's just too good.

Great review as always. I just got a 22 X6M Competition. Quick question for anyone here when you put it into M1 mode (everything in aggressive mode) is the shifting only manual via the paddle shifters ? Or can it shift on its own? I’ve only had it for 2 days but every time I put it in M1 mode it shifts only manually via paddle shifters, it won’t shift on its own.

@@AKZreadChannelwithNoName I can tell you haven't been in a new X5M or X6M for a test ride. Of course it's not going to handle quite like an M5 in the turns, but with the active stabilizer bars and dampers, it seems to defy physics.

Sofyan, I have a great plan. The compact and midsize car segment will now be segments for enthusiasts. With Compact Crossovers replacing midsize cars as the car of choice for people. The compact and midsize car segment have no choice but to be a segment for enthusiasts. Hyundai is coming out with the sonata n line, Elantra n line, and Elantra n, Toyota has the Camry TRD, Honda has the Civic Si and type r, VW has the Golf GTI and the Jetta GLI, Subaru has the wrx and wrx sti, Kia has the k5 and forte GT. How about Subaru release an sti version of the legacy, Nissan release a nismo version of its Altima, Sentra, and versa sedans, Mazda revive Mazdaspeed with the new mazdaspeed 3 and mazdaspeed 6 (I know Mazda is trying to go luxury, but I feel like they can combine driving engagement and luxury into one amazing package. BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes AMG do just that). If sedans turn into a market for enthusiasts. It would make a whole lot of sense since many families are choosing crossovers for the family needs.

You did not mention about the remote open/close trunk button near the memory seat settings buttons. That's a unique and good placement. It has 8-speeds, but it's down 1-2 gears to Mercedes and other competitors in general.

I am pretty sure your specs are wrong. It has 553 pound feet of torque, not 567, and the curb weight is 5375... when you verbally referenced the curb weight, you were accurate, however the printed specs were wrong.

A M50i is not an M car, which M stands for Motorsport, not Motor. A M50i has some M badging only, no M performance enhancements at all. An M car and SAV is an entirely different machine. From engine, steering wheel, seats, interior, exhaust, suspension, dampening system, brakes, wheel set up, front and rear end and so on.

Cool car for the rich folk. Design doesn't appeal to me. I rather go with the X5M instead.

Maybe you can get the 0-60 app or timer instead of saying that it feels like it’s getting the advertised time. You can tell us what time you actually get

Is it just me or does every single BMW interior look the same? From cars like the 2 series all the way to 8 series and the equivalent SUVs. I honestly probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference just by being inside one of them. Wish they would differentiate some of the interiors

Crazy to think I thought these were big grilles before......M4 really just......isn't it hahaha. But let's be honest. This is a lifted sedan. That coupe roofline completely negates the utility part.
