    I've heard from a few channels that are complaining about dropped views. They say for subscribers to unsubscribe, resubscribe and recheck notifications. I don't know if it works, but just passing it on. Keep up the great work Stassa!👍

    Man I needed this video. I've been collecting knives on and off for years but now I'm slowly shifting towards USA made only (China, Taiwan etc still great make quality stuff just too many new models dropping and getting hyped constantly to keep up with). So far I have a pro-tech sprint, benchmade griptillian in grn/20cv, mini freek in carbon/s90v (love this one), spyderco para 3 in g10/s45vn (my favorite overall) and a GEC #15 tidioute urban jack in agate (very classy). I also had to make an exception for the demko slicer ad20.5 in g10/20cv when that went on sale even though it's made in Taiwan, fits the spirit of the collection haha. Next up I'd like to go for something a bit more premium like an xm-18 or sebenza/inkosi.

    Howdy and thanks for your reviews! I know that the industry is taking a hit but seriously everything’s gotten so expensive( including knives) that I know we have had to cut back…it’s amazing how much makers think we can spend cause I just doubled down and bought a flagship one for 600 and it would not even flip open and would stick shut! Man that hurts as they want a restocking fee for a knife that does not work! The market better wake up before it’s too late!

    I understand these are your choices. But I rarely see anybody talk about the Benchmade Presidio. It is usually the Griptilian or the Bugout. The Presidio has been one of my favourite knives for a long time. And it has been around a long time also. So it must be decently popular. But for some reason, it doesn’t get the love the other two get.

    I hope they do some machined detail on the newer Sebenzas sometime; I just find the inlays they’re doing _deeply_ uninspiring and while I want one in the collection and my pocket, I won’t buy a knife like that if I’m at all ‘eh’ on it. Would take much less than the lovely doppler too.. Anyway this vid is a great example of why I like your channel- we have very different taste, and you do a great job. Thanks!

    Very nice list. Hope to get Malibu at some point or a Monterey Bay. I picked up an Inkosi for my birthday and was shocked how bad the action on it was. Beautiful knife, sharp out of the box, but the thumb studs are too pointy and could barely open it the pivot was so rough. At that price, I'm not doing the work to disassemble and hope I can grease it. I just had to return it. Very disappointing.

    You’re not the first one to complain about CRK. I own several Sebenzas and have no complaints. But they are also older. It’s been 10 years since I purchased a new CRK. I can’t speak for the Inkosi since I’ve never owned one. But my Sebenzas with inlays or graphics are smooth. Smoother than the plain Janes. But I find the thumb stud uncomfortable also. And I find them difficult to open in one go. I have to open them partially then readjust and open it the rest of the way. I’ll keep what I have. But I don’t foresee adding anymore.

  • @sloanNYC

    @sloanNYC

    @@flapxjackson It was beautifully made, I just didn't want to fight to make it smooth even though CRK themselves offered to help... it just threw me off. I've loved most of Ray's designs, so I think I'll hope to get a Sea Otter from Monterey Bay Knives one day...

    Just a quick friendly comment, as active duty, no one wants to get appreciation on Memorial day. That day is for the fallen only, it's a day of remembrance for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans Day is for those who've served or serve. I really don't appreciate "thank you for your service" on Memorial Day, that's for the fallen. Just a friendly reminder, I know you mean well

    I’m going to be completely honest, I think a stock CRK is just completely unimpressive. Terrible action unless you love a slow roll and a two handed or awkward one hand close. Terrible thumbstuds. Unimpressive grinds. Their finishing work is really good, but I mean look at the knives coming out of China. *cough* reate *cough*. So so so many knives outshine CRK’s entire catalog at lower prices.
