I've never seen one of these completed, the solution is very interesting! Knots are surprisingly complicated. The creepy music adds to it too!

And thank you for watching. It's actually a pretty darned tricky puzzle to solve. But, as you see, it has a very simple solution.
Another clever project, thanks Steve.

And thank you too. As simple as this project is to make, you can get a lot of mileage out of it. The only one who I've had try it so far and actually figure it out is my son. I gave him a vital hint (that the rope loop has to be pulled through the hole) and it still took him about 45 minutes. Others have failed to solve it and finally gave up. It's amazing how such a simple project is so challenging a puzzle to solve. Supposedly, this puzzle ranks as moderately easy for an experienced puzzler. But the solution is far from obvious. I really appreciate your being here.
Another great gift project Steve. Nicely done.

+Fred Kroesche It very simple to make and deceptively simple to solve. Those who don't know the secret will likely scratch their heads for quite a while before giving up. Send me a picture if you make any and I'll include it in a future video. :)
Very clever. Cool project. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome, Bob. Thank your for being here. My videos are generally project orientated, but they are - to me - also a way to demonstrate various techniques and methods of approaching parts making, which is really the most important lesson. Using know-how and sound, safe methodology to make cool stuff; What could be more rewarding?!
VERY GOOD, THANKS.

When people see the solution they often assume they would have easily figured it out on their own. But it's a lot more challenging than it appears.
I actually found your channel by reading comments on Wintergatan Wednesday's Dragonslayer video. Cool stuff man.

You should make one. It's sure to drive them crazy. The dimensions aren't critical at all. Only that there's enough rope length that the loop can be pulled through the hole and that the ring doesn't fit through the center hole.
I Like this trick so much i subscribe. Thanks to Peter Brown i had to put Duck tape on my mouth to stop me from swearing working out he's puzzle.
