In this episode, I’m joined for the second time by popular author, KZreadr, and atheist activist Aron Ra. We talk about what being an atheist really means, why atheism has been increasing in popularity and why Aron has dedicated his life to atheist activism.
We also discuss in detail the issues there are with organized religions, how people are able to accept contradictions in their beliefs, and some hypocrisies of the church that Aron identified.

Really awesome of Aron to (A) recognise and to publicly acknowledge the similarity between Sharia and Biblical Law. And also (B) to know that the proper usage is "Sharia" and not "Sharia Law," since "Sharia" already means "Canonical Islamic Law." I mean, you wouldn't say "Canonical Islamic Law Law..."

The appeal of western religion is that it offers the promise salvation. The appeal of science is that it seeks the truth. I choose science.

It's not what science CAN'T explain, it's about what science HASN'T YET explained. Everything in the real world is explainable by science ultimately.

I dont understand science deniers.Religion cant explain anything but science can by evidence which religion cannot.I asked people to prove god exsists but they could not give any at all.

Actually religion _can_ explain everything, it just can't show that any of its explanations are correct. That's the appeal I guess, you get good loud strong answers to everything, which seems to be good enough for a lot of people who don't worry about whether those good loud strong answers are true.

Well, personally I don't deny science, but i know for a fact, that some 'scientists' deny the truth, make people sign NDAs so they CAN'T talk about it (case A), out of fear of being sued. By all means they could talk about case A, but then people like yourself, Aron, etc, just dismiss it as hokum, because of some outdated science they use to defend themselves with. It's actually quite funny to witness!

Can someone please explain to me (because imo Aron failed to do so) "The 1st Amendment vs. the 1st Commandment"? How?

  • @Lunth-yl2mk

@NullAndVoid No it doesn't. If GOD exists, to me that line is saying 'you can 'have' other Gods before me, but they won't be correct.' Like, a warning. Like the other commandments that many people break on a daily basis. People have the freedom to choose the list of rules they want to follow. Simple pimple. And besides, your argument could be that nobody knows which GOD is the real one, because the entire Earth has no solid 'proof' of that 1 GOD. It's like, we've all got psychosis really. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Seems pretty apparent how if you just read them both. First commandment: I am the only god. First amendment: choose your own god. a.k.a. Freedom of religion.

@@DavidWilson-eu1mv And? So like, amendment says choose a computer. Commandment in the pamphlets of one brand of computer says 'we are the industry standard'. Not a contradiction, but atheists like to make stuff up in their own heads so, whatever.

"We need to teach children that they are all created in the image of God and thus have inherent worth, that there are moral absolutes which govern behavior in a civilized society, and that there is true meaning to life which gives us ultimate hope. Instead, evolutionists say we should teach them they are the result of chance, that there is no absolute morality-and thus there is no meaning to life? Is this supposedly good for the kids?"
