    Wow, some vessel that! And a fab Hugo tour. But, £900k, all that carbon fibre, yet, IKEA furniture, and a seat that sounds like rusty old wheelbarrow every spring? 😳 Thank you for the video Hugo x

    The reason why the anchor chain is so small is as it's a very light boat it doesn't need anything heavier because the boat itself is half the weight. defeats the object if you put extra weight in it.

    Awesome frivolity 🙂 Love these modern engines, back in Day’s of old Mercury and Volvo were all truck derived big lumpy diesels, no bad thing…… or 4’s, V6’s or V8’s on gasoline from thirsty day vans or big sedans….. Those V8 TDi’s are what hurls a VW Touareg/ Audi Q7 or the Porsche Cayenne up the road……. far more power from far less capacity, also fuel efficiency and longevity….. The big BHP V8’s on surface drives must be a real scorcher…… 😎🇬🇧 Great tour as always Hugo……🌟

    Small detail but love that they had the foresight to not just reflexively place the JPO right in front of or behind the throttles on the inboard side. So many manufacturers do this for some reason without considering that you are almost always using the throttles and JPO under entirely different circumstances (i.e. cruising and berthing respectively). Lots of mfcts just put the joystick inboard with the throttles, or the throttles outboard with the joystick, when really this setup (throttles inboard so no one walking by accidentally knocks them, and joystick outboard so you have a clear line of sight bow and stern while standing forwards or backwards) makes way more sense. Cool boat!

    Less so, if you had a $75 million boat, for which this was just the crewed tender...... Which is closer to most realistic buyers of these.

    Great tour Hugo, although I can’t imagine anyone with any sense would buy one. For the money there’s soooo many other options out there. Personally not to my taste, but then I don’t have 1m to spend on a day boat!

    They're marketed, I believe pretty much exclusively, as tenders for "Superyachts." For which they are near perfect. Those foldout wings put big buoyancy in the water. Makes the rear deck not only big and wide enough for serve as a dance floor, but as stable as if on a Catamaran as well. Exactly the opposite of what fashionable hanging-in-mid-air "terraces" on non-ribs do. Most "Superyacht" charterers and owners, don't fancy their floors moving under them, it would seem. T lack of rails and handholds as well: They're "all" intended to be crewed. At least a pair of burly Aussie ex-skiff-racers on each, as far as I've seen.... :) While I'm sure Anvera will sell them to anyone with a million, they're marketed as crew operated super yacht tenders. No-one really expects a retired doctor with a million to spend, to be the one going forward in rough weather/water. Strangely I suppose: But, aside from the stability and liveability (for day use) at anchor resulting from that wide, spacious and stable platform; the most amazing thing is how comfortable the forward berth is, even at speed in a chop. No slamming nor abrupt motions at all. There is supposed to be a good bit of "racing" dna in the boat, per Anvera marketing. I'm guessing those surprisingly gentle motions must be part of that.

    Looks like a nice rapid insertion craft for insertion operations in denied areas. Like when the bartender says 'You can't come back here until your tab is paid'. Challenge accepted man who runs a pirate themed bar on a canal in Ft. Lauderdale. Or when her husband says, 'If I see you tied up at my dock again...' Challenge accepted man with a really hot but gold digging wife who wears a bathing suit out on the dock that some might call...a belt!

    I want to like it but I can’t say I do. The rear furniture almost looks inflatable, the cabin looks like something from an 80’s go fast boat with matching bedclothes. I spy a can of WD40 in the storage area, judging by that seat bracket there maybe a few more squeaks hiding around the place. It’s for someone but not for me. That and I haven’t got a million quid spare for a rib.

  • @paulnorman8274

    @paulnorman8274

    The rear furniture IS, if not inflatable per se, at least filled with enough air to float very high. So you can sit down drifting around your boat having a drink, while at anchor.
