My neighbor had a 1981 Chevy Camaro Z28 T top that was metallic brown and tan interior when I was a kid. He washed it every Saturday. My point is : it was an absolutely amazing looking car.

Where did did it have the Square four hole mags colour keyed? I knew a guy that had a car like that amazing looking!

Camaro/Firebirds were assembled at two locations. Norwood(Cincinnati) and Van Nuys , Ca. Norwood had one of the best build quality plants. Van Nuys was the worst. (Van Nuys stories are epic) So, in GMs infinite wisdom which plant did GM close? BTW, in late 1973 I took a tour of the Norwood plant. Still remember all those 74 cars being built.

You could tell the ones built in Van Nuys they had the crappy CA approved paint. That paint sucked!

@@dj7128 Yes, due to CA regulations it was water based. The paint companies blamed GM and GM blamed the paint manufacturers. In the end, the customer wound up with the short end of the stick.

Is it just me, or did the ladies look better back then? No tattoos, piercings, hot pink hair or shaved sides. Just elegance. Which is why they're sitting in nice cars. They deserved it lol!

Once had a 77 Grand Prix with an 81 firebird engine in it.

I had a 70s something model white TA w black leather interior. Loud glass packs muffler. Best thing about it was it did not have that godawful gold eagle. It looked like a TransAm/Firebird hybrid. The hood scoop NEVER ever stayed in place. Broke down every 3 months but still...... My fave of all cars I've owned. I never could understand why people would by a Camaro when you could have a gorgeous TransAm. ❤🇺🇸

I was born 2 years later I missed everything!

Cars were cool and women were women back then.....how things have changed since.

No manual for 80. Why show a 4 speed car. Did not exist
