You can see how healthy he is from his behaviour at his concerts. I saw him 2 years ago in London and he was on stage off his head, stumbling, chugging wine, preaching all sorts. Saw him again January this year and he was so much more composed, clean, frankly normal, and appreciative to be in the moment.

I love that he formed a relationship with the horse, for whatever reason. I love when people bond with animals. I love that he gave it a chance, I love that he did everything he was told, I love that he went to rehab in the first place, I love this entire interview.

I'm so hyped Matty is clean.. This kind of stuff terrifies me though. Especially after losing Mac Miller who has been my biggest inspiration for 10 years. I still find myself having issues comprehending it.. Considering Mac was finally clean for awhile, then everything went to shit but he was going around assuring people he was good.. It's just scary because when you become clean, relapsing etc makes your body so much more fragile.. I don't know what I'd do if we all lost Matty like that as well. He seems like he's genuinely in a good place though, and I think having his close friends as band mates who don't do that stuff will help save him.

It's not really that you're more fragile after your clean and then relapse, it's that you did drugs or drank for YEARS, you developed the ability after all that time to do massive amounts of whatever drug or drink massive amounts. So most of the time, when relapse occurs, your mind is still at that last place you were, when you could take a massive shot of h, or pop 20 lortabs at one time, but your body has settled back down to a normal level, and your tolerance is back at almost nothing.

I always see this Norweigan geezer doing interviews, mostly with people from the UK due to the algorithm, but man this interviewing style needs to be more prevalent. No interruptions. Even if a guest is roundabout with their point, he gives them the time to get there. Cloest I can come to a UK version of this is Graham Northon, but even then there's a quick witty comment here and there, and it throws the flow completely off. When a question is asked, it is to elaborate or delve deeper rather than to quickly move on comedically. Props

Matty, my brother is currently struggling with addiction and yeah, it's so easy to say you're done with it, I'm praying you kick it, love. Been a fan for years, saw you in Indiana last year...have never seen you sexier than now. Another video you said something in regard to self injury is so old. Kudos to you for giving everyone honesty, openness and conversation about drug addiction. Clean is legit.

I respect his honesty. And I respect the fact that he is able to demystify the “glamorous rock star” persona and the drugs that go with it. It’s an important lesson that all young people need to hear. Sleep well, Matty. This interviewer is fantastic, btw. He knows the precise time to interject and he never interrupts. Wow.

As someone who rode horses for years I know this connection and experience of having the respect and love of a horse and hearing him experience that and it helping made me cry, because I know that feeling so well, even if I just did it for the fun of it, I know what it's like having a horse connect to you like that

Just wanted to tell Matt that l was very touched with his sharing about his addiction. I'm confident that if he keeps this mindset, he will make it. It's not gonna be easy, but if he keeps focusing on his long term health, l sure he will touch many young lives. Will certainly keep him in my thoughts & prayers. Much good comes from bad experiences. He has the testimony & the platform. Take advantage of it.
