The 1940 Ford had smooth styling that was similar to the 1939 Ford Deluxe... but with a more pronounced hood. The 1941 Ford would have the advantages of a two-inch longer wheelbase, available 6-cylinder engine, and a much larger and wider body. However, old Henry despised independent front suspension that it would have to wait until the 1949 Ford after he passed.

My posh padded posterior pains me to no end past the point of pleasurable cruising. Thus, at our age comfort wins out over outright speed! I can't get there fast enough if it is a bad seat! However, I can lounge on the couch all evening! Yup! Comfort over 'performance' My how creature comforts (ergonomics) have improved.

Wow! Great advertising! But im still not sold on buying a '40 Ford! Chevy still holds #1 in my car list! Chevy won the Akron Race in '57! Chevy is king!!!
