The 1809 Shipwreck Treasure of the Admiral Gardner - Historic Metals: Treasures from Wrecks & Ruins

Historic Metals: Treasures from Wrecks & Ruins
In this video we are going to get wrecked. Shipwrecked, that is!
We will dive in to the fascinating tale of the 1809 shipwreck of the East India Company's Admiral Gardner "Eastindianman" merchant ship, and discover how you can own one of the million coins recovered from the 40-60 tons of copper coins and treasure that were lost when the ship went down.
So join me and let's find out together what make this Colonial British East India coin, another example of Historic Metal.

I worked for a company called SAR diving. A chap called Tom Henderson owned it. He was contracted to collect the coins. Richard Larne allegedly wanted us to concentrate on artefacts instead of the coins but it was the coins that paid our wages. I think that’s when the operation was halted. Great job though.

LOL, ok so 48 tons of coins, 54 tons of coins, 46 tons of coins. You can tell I sourced information from multiple places! So let's just go with 40-60 tons *estimated* to have been aboard in copper coinage.

This was awesome! Please start posting again! I’d love to see more of this. I’m going to check out a few more videos tomorrow after work. This has motivated me to do something I’d been thinking about for a while. I’ve got a set of coins I’ve been wanting to make a historical video about and this makes me want to get around to doing it. Great video and great channel! Happily subbed!

I have so many artifacts I bought to make videos with, and I really need to get to them. But adult ADHD is a helluva drug :| I'm either firing on all cylinders with turbo, or stalled.

@@HistoricMetals man, I get that 100%. I go through phases like that where I’m super into something and then fall out. Hopefully you can get back into this and make those videos; because you are really good at them. If not though, it’s completely understandable. Just keep your head up, my friend!
