Diving the wreck site of the 1656 shipwreck of the Vergulde Draeck, also known as the Gilt Dragon. Wrecked off Ledge Point north of Perth in Western Australia.
The site has been fully excavated and all that is left on the site it the cannons, anchors and some scattered building bricks.

Dived in February 2015.

    @@divingwesternaustraliasshi3330 Cheers Dave, It was a good day even with less than a meter of swell there was plenty of water movement. I got a reply from the museum they were happy for us to dive it, so long as we looked and didn’t touch.
