Of course we love David and Matt , but Peter is the definition of a wise old Doctor , that went through absolutely everything and have a real life experience

I will always remember when The Doctor was Peter Capaldi. He was my Doctor, he was my professor, he was my warrior, he was my musician, he was my hero, & I didn't want him to go.

Best doctor imo...I like Tennant and I like baker, but this doctor was my doctor...the series revived for me at 6 or 7 And I grew up with Tennant and Smith but this is the doctor who captured that tragedy of always moving on no matter how much you don't want to. Heaven sents also best episode so...

Peter wasn’t my first Doctor. Matt Smith was. But 12 became MY Doctor. His charisma and older, wiser side made me fall in love with him. And as a musician myself, he was the rock n roll Doctor! 12’s TARDIS was my favorite too. A lot of his tenure showed his past selves from Classic Who and made me appreciate those Doctors. Above all else, 12 taught me this: To be kind.

Same with me and David Tennant. Christopher Eccleston was the first Doctor I was introduced to, but David my OG.

Despite the issues with writing Jodie got during her tenure, this is actually a really great introduction to her doctor. I remember thinking “wow okay this is new”. 11’s Tardis may have needed to “reset” for a few hours but at least he knew where it would be when it rematerialized. 13’s Tardis completely left her alone and with no way of knowing where or WHEN it landed

This is where the doctor learned to stop regenerating in the TARDIS lol.

I grew up with Matt Smith as my doctor and I loved his young childish energy but man, Capaldi really captured my heart too. He’s very different to Smith but his grumpy grandpa energy was great. He really did feel like your grandpa. Sometimes he was really grumpy and angry but other times he was quite childish and silly. Reminds me of my grandads. It was so sad to see him go. I know he always has to regenerate but I wish Capaldi could of stayed a bit longer. He played the role so well. I’ll miss The Twelfth Doctor. Now it’s time for a new chapter with Ncuti Gatwa as The Fifteenth Doctor, maybe he’ll be even better.

Tennant, smith and capaldi all left early. Tennant left with RTD even though he was supposed to continue till season 5 thank god that never happened. As much as I loved Tennant I just couldn’t see him interacting with Amy and Rory quite well. Smith was supposed to stay until series 8. That’s why the back end of his tenure was rushed and felt incomplete. Which is a shame because series 8 would have been completely different since the writers had to change for capaldi. This is why it seemed like his character was inconsistent until series 8

When I was young David was my favorite. As a adult Peter is my favorite

It’s sad that Jodie’s run was best summed up as “it lead the way for the return of David”

This is the only story that I have in 4k. I got it in a sale in HMV a few years ago to play on my 4k player. I wish the BBC would release future stories on 4k. The picture quality is excellent.

It'll never happen. Captain Jack was rubbish in the Torchwood audios anyway. He was always the least interesting thing about every story. Ironically, now that he's gone and Big Finish are focusing more on standalone character pieces for their Torchwood audios, the range has improved significantly.

Funny since neither of them was the Doctor; (the 2nd and 3rd Caretaker/Curator/President over our mankind as we become the new rulers over time) (Matt Smitt was the last Doctor as he retired) ("Old warrior you can rest now" "OK ill do that"; then the new Doctor (that never knew she was the new 0th Doctor became the Doctor as she accepted the "Cloak of life" and had it cling to her bones. Then as the Raven saved her; that save became CAL in the library (the girl to become the 1st new Doctor).

Guessing who 14 is and who the director for him and 15 is I think i can watch it again I'll just ignore any plot having to do with anything chibnail did with the series and hope that its retconned like he tried to retcon what moffet did with gallifrey

I’ve reevaluated capaldi. Wasn’t a huge fan the first time he aired but after Jodie catastrophic tenure, I’ve rewatched all the 12th doctor episodes and he’s pretty damn good.

I'm bored with these regeneration scenes now.

A terrible casting choice, JW is too lightweight an actress, no gravitas to hold a scene. I believe that it was Philip Hinchcliffe who said that anyone playing the Doctor should be able to "go dark" and JW simply couldn't. Sure, lousy scripts and the lack of promotion by the BBC didn't help, but still a bad choice. If the show had gone straight to Jo Martin it would have been a lot more interesting.

"Doctor, I let you go." And so did most of the audience! A female Doctor was the worst idea in the show's history. The Doctor is a man, that's it: he's a male archetype; anything else is not canon, as far as I'm concerned. They could've brought back Jenny if they really wanted a female Doctor, or Romana, or Susan, or given River Song or Clara Oswald their own spin-off shows since they were basically the Doctor's distaff counterpart. But they went with the laziest option to stir up controversy, and all it did in the end was alienate the male audience, and female fans as well who preferred the Doctor as a man because the character is male.

It wasn’t a bad idea, the doctor being female could work, but it was the writing that stirred up controversy, chibnall caused it, the doctor isn’t a masculine character, the doctor represents everyone. Trust me, I hated the chibnall era too but hating a female doctor cause they’re a woman isn’t right. Blame chibnalls writing
