Cool! Good to see Kendall and you working on it together. I think if a kid can work on a project like that you develop skills, knowledge and interests that will last thier life.

I agree Kevin. Kendall is showing interest in things mechanical and she also has a flair for drawing artwork. I would like for her to be a maker of things. You are right, she can use these skills her entire lifetime. Thanks for watching.

Maybe you can do a video documenting the progression of your cyclekarts and compare upgrades, front suspension styles, rear axle styles, engine placements (in front vs behind the axel), steering setups, build materials…etc. I would love to here your thoughts on all of the different techniques you’ve used/learned. Dennis, it is great that you and Kendall worked on her car together like that, she looked like like she had a blast working on the kart and than driving it.

Cool to see cyclekarting taking off. Back when I was building mine (2009 - 2012) I felt like I was the only one. Just wish I had a little more money stashed away so I could travel around with it to events.

Hi Stephen, I remember watching your video of you building your car in your driveway when I was designing my first Cyclekart Old #27. That was 2012. You had the only video I could find about a cyclekart construction at that time. I believe that there were only about 30 Cyclekarts worldwide at that time. Things have sure grown. I still hold out hope that you can join us at one of the events at some point.

I don’t know who todo-gnocchi is, but that CK is SWEET!! Love the look! Dennis, I came out to your place and rode the ol’ 27 around your lot about 8 years ago. Great time. You had 27 complete and the mono car was about ready for paint. Still trying to finish mine. I raced to get it driving, had a kid, and now 6 years and three kids later it is still in the exact same condition! Hoping to get this house built and moved in this summer. Then I’ll be doing a take down and rebuild. I want the differential and hydraulic breaks on the rebuild. Need more room in the cockpit as well for my little passengers! I’ve been watching every video and keep them coming. Huge inspiration!!

I remember that Jason! I also remember watching your video of your Cyclekart outing. I am glad you still have you car and plan on the upgrades which are well worth it. I built the BMW for my wife and Kendall to ride in side by side so I understand your need to make the cockpit bigger. Good to hear from you and thanks for following my videos!

Once you get going a centrifugal clutch is good enough :)

A nice Stevenson Formula Cyclekart! Too many "cost no object" Cyclekarts out there, but I know that's human nature in racing...winning.

I agree Thomas. The bodies can get pretty elaborate and can cost a few bucks. We are ok with that. What we don't want builders to do is spend money on big engines to go faster. We have a gentleman's agreement that we won't do that. So far everyone is adhering to the agreement and we are keeping speeds and spending in check. Also there are no prizes or trophies or recognition for winning. Thanks for watching!

The young lady has great taste in anime 'My Hero Academia' is a fantastic show. Also great seeing kids getting into making things and working with their hands.

Fantastic!! I ma out in Pennsylvania and I am starting to work on a Morgan three wheeler replica and just found cycle karts. I definitely want to join in the fun with the cycle karts...

Thank you so much for sharing this project it was wonderful to see the end results and I learned so much about cycle carts which I have taken an interest in as well as Vintage rc balsa kit airplanes funny as a younger man I never Had much of an interest in models and although I did have a go kart growing up and worked on it this has sparked my interest in and go karts, cycle carts and airplane models

Very simple construction and a good design for a first Cyclekart. By changing the grill you can make it look like any number of inspiration cars.

On the plywood box, are the joints reinforced? Or is it just carpenter's glue? Thanks.
