He knows the cars in and out, every part and detail, he invented or customized like half the car's technology himself

I honestly find myself thinking this exact same thought in my mind whenever I'm watching the technological development they do... Just the simple fact that they are constantly working on new technology and always striving to come up with all new approaches to engineering and mechanical solutions while always setting the bar higher for the limits of what a "hypercar" is capable of doing. It would undoubtedly bring plenty of enjoyment and produce such enthusiasm to be working there and be a part of something so exclusive and industry leading that it would not even feel like the typical job or work environment, I'm sure the normal 8 hour day would FLY BY compared to working any other job haha... I just find it that much more impressive they are able to manage and direct the companies production, expansion, development, research, investments, etc and doing it all while being a fraction of the size of their competitors and also consuming a fraction of the materials/assets to achieve similar if not even better results... I wonder what the hell he will come up with next, setting the bar higher than the recent Model One:1 will be difficult I would imagine lol, I'm sure they will come up with something to keep the Top Spot in the Hypercar World, or at least make a model version of the One:1 that is lighter overall weight/more efficient energy consumption and production/superior turbo technology, etc....

If I ever get the chance to buy a supercar, it'll probably be a Koenigsegg. I'm not even a particularly enormous fan of the design but by god do I love the engineering and the story. I'm truly convinced that Christian von Koenigsegg is to modern day automotive engineering what Ettore Bugatti, Enzo Ferrari, Adrian Newey and Ross Brawn were/are for racing cars, Kelly Johnson was to groundbreaking airplanes, what Sir Frank Whittle was to jet engines and -although he was a nazi which taints my view of him- what Werner von Braun was for rocket technology. Neither of them were the first to develop the specific concept (cars/engines) they'd later be famed for, but for their time they were absolutely lightyears ahead in terms of ideas. Their forward thinking and radical approaches to things is what made them true legends in the history of engineering and I think that Christian will be as much of a name to be remembered as the ones mentioned above. IMO with a Koenigsegg you don't necessarily buy the most beautiful car, but you do buy the most innovative car available with current technology.

I've wondered what he is like to work for. There is no question he is inspiring, motivates others and is a genius at public relations, but I wonder what the vibe in the place is like. Are people stressed to the max and burn out frequently? What's the turnover like? I like to think he is demanding but fair and not a jerk- he's a personal hero of mine. Pagani is another one - both of them really, really care about what they are doing and are pursuing a vision without compromises. That's rare these days.

Aaron Rodriguez The context of his affirmation pointed to an idea of possible use in the future. But i really feel that there is no tech capable to create an engine like this. There isn't even materials capable to withstand such performance. Koenigsegg, as well as any other brand of supercars, are on the edge of new tech and, obviously, many innovations that we now perceive as standard in normal cars are a direct result of these "non sense" vehicles. But again, even if combustion engines can still be optimized and have a a lot of growth potential, i think we will never see a commercial engine as such.

Each episode makes me more and more amazed at what this guy has achieved. Every single part of the car seems to be world leading technology, better than major companies with huge resources can produce. I can't imagine how he found the money and resources to do this. Absolutely staggering.

I won't be buying a hypercar next week but when I get round to it, I want to buy one from Christian Von Koenigsegg. Cars like these are so much about the experience and relationship.

Love these kinds of documentries. Not always the same host making remarks like "stunning" or to top things off something like "aaaaabsoooluty stunning". Just let Christian talk, tell everything about his car and engine and show some nice pictures and videos. Please, keep up the great work Drive! Thanks from Germany!

I would like the thank Christian for their outstanding dedication to making quality products. I wouldn't mind owning a Koenigsegg after watching the "Inside Koenigsegg" series. I will add one of these cars to my garage at some point. Thank you DRIVE for covering this!
