The 113,900 Lumen Assault Flashlight

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Find it here: amzn.to/3itkzqw Sometimes there's sales here: www.imalentstore.com/products... Is the Imalent MS18 the brightest highest lumen flashlight in the world? Is the MS03 the brightest EDC flashlight? Today we find out, then concoct our own creation to try and spice things up - mainly because it sounded like fun, let's be honest it's an abomination.

"Overclocking" the process by which you up the voltage and cross your fingers you dont brick your hardware, then if successful have a whole lot of extra heat to deal with. So are we "overclocking" here? Still no, but maybe our friends over at LTT will see this monstrosity and possibly want to machine a water block/water-cool this thing over in Canukistan

At some point, with the scaling of the cooling hardware that super-bright LEDs require, you'd imagine more heat-tolerant light sources, such as HID arc lighting, might actually be more space efficient in blind-you-forever carry lights.

I suggest you check out some Hank lights. I probably can't post a link here, but he's a flashlight maker from China that had a big following on reddit. He's known for making high quality lights that use anduril 2 software. They seem durable, but not gonna put mine to the test. Maybe you could?

*Hey. I am continuing my testing as well. "Focus" your videos on Lowe's outdoor light products under the name Lithonia Lighting.* I bought a $120 light, claiming 7500 lumens. Lol. No. Tried to talk to the manager, he said, "It's just what the vendor puts on the box". I tried to explain that "just" is breaking 5 laws... but you know, they don't hire for IQ.

Absolutely fantastic video as always! As a career automotive technician who has a perhaps unhealthy love of all things flashlight and power tool related I absolutely love your channel! One question though. I see a lot of KZread reviewers and regular Milwaukee users complaining about the HD12.0 packs failing prematurely and dropping a bank or so of cells. But I never hear of anyone who tried to get them fixed under warranty. It’s just reviewers constantly making comments about the unreliability rather then trying to fix the issue. Now I understand nobody should have to deal with crap if it is as wide spread as it sounds but cost and quality only get you so far, anything can break. So my question is, have you or anyone you know attempted to get the HD12.0 or for that matter any Milwaukee battery, fixed/replaced under warranty and if so what was the outcome? Obviously you can’t do that on your newly modified HD12.0.

Losing a bank of cells in the 12Ah might be due to a balancing issue, as Milwaukee's batteries and chargers don't really cope with balancing that well. It was a super common issue with the old High Demand 9.0s, and for a time it pretty common to see forum posts where people would frequently have a 50% failure rate on the twin packs, and a quick skim points to 12Ahs starting to suffer the same issues. It seems like 5S/3P is just too finicky for Milwaukee to pull off without running into these issues, at least until they upgrade the balancing chip to something that can deliver more than 50mA, or reconfigure something so that the cells can be balanced regardless of charge status.

It's funny to see you start getting into flashlights. My friend was real big into flashlights about a year ago. He bought the MS-18 (flood) and a GT94X (thrower). They're very impressive lights. Brands you may be interested in as well that I haven't seen you mention are Emisar, Noctigon, Fireflies, Lumintop, Weltool, Mateminco/Astrolux, Reylight, Acebeam. Emisar are my favorite lights. Keep in mind these are not mechanic lights. They are fanatic lights. So drop testing and such aren't what most people in this hobby are concerned about and thus the lights aren't designed around that either. I use Molicell P42A in my 21700 lights and P26A in my 18650 lights and Keeppower UH2652 in my 26650 lights. Luxwad has an awesome channel on lights among a few others.

If you needed to add those extra fans for additional cooling you have to add another video testing the light in winter conditions. That way you will get a better cooling without further modifications. Someone suggested further modifications with different fans and bigger heat-sink or even watercooling. I would take the consumable route, try using those cans of compressed air for cleaning or even the ones that are used to thermal test circuit that do shoot out freezing gas

i want one of these imalents soooo bad ! but i just can't justify the cost , especially since i already have the biggest baddest streamlight they make and i basically only use it to get people to stop driving behind me with their high beams on when i'm in my semi .... but ohhhh one of these days!!

@@mattfleming86 i honestly thought about getting one after i watched that video but the way i do it is by shining it in my own mirrors which would make aiming it pretty hard

that 3500 lumen (according to streamlight) usually does the job with just a quick flash... but if i hold it on them i can see their eye color 😂😂

I am very happy with my Ryobi 18v flashlight. Like a hand held flood light with 2 rechargeable batteries. I go on night walks in the woods with my 2 dogs. The battery lasts for 1.5 hr each. The beam shines SO far. It's so fun to explore at night with it. I got it at home Depot.

The Nightwatch NS73v2 is a great alternative to the MS03. For a much more affordable price you're getting 17500 lumens. And it uses a single 21700 as well

Holy Lumens thats bright :) Its so powerful that even with current battery tech it only lasts a couple minutes which isnt great on a hike or whatever you would do with it... This could also be a great solution for the Anti- tailgater- Light many people wish for :)

Been using molicel for awhile. They're a real hidden gem in the cell market. The new one isn't available yet but they have a new 21700 the P45B out that is even better. Unfortunately the P42A isn't really that much different than the Samsung 30T,the manufacturer discharge ratings are temperature limited and they perform very similar to the Samsung 30T under continuous discharge testing , although the Molicel P42A does have less voltage sag than the 30T after a certain point, the Samsung 30T can sustain more wattage slightly at the beginning of its discharge cycle at full voltage. Will be really interesting when battery mooch posts the results of the P45B soon.

@@TorqueTestChannel yes they aren't at the online shops yet, hopefully soon. I guess we never really know until they show up. Molicel authorize vendors are 18650 battery store, liionwholesale and more recently IMR battery, so hopefully shows up there one day.
