Thanks for displaying the Tang Dynasty's proper flag 😉 However, the size of the Tang and Ming are bigger than shown in the video. For instance, the Ming controlled the port of Palembang (and thus was the only Chinese empire to have a directly-controlled overseas colony), but that isn't shown in the video.

The Spanish Empire was technically significantly bigger depending on how you look at it. It had occupied the Nootka Territory in NW America (even if it didn’t enforce it), Spanish Sahara and northern Morocco, Equitorial Guinea, Spanish Netherlands, and parts of what is now Italy and France.

The video is done based on their peak sizes, not every territory they ever owned. Hence why the British one doesn’t include the US. Spain didn’t own all of those lands you said at the same time and ultimately the Spain shown in the video was Spain at its peak territorial height
