Well I’m starting here I’ll make it up

Im glad more people are getting into Tekken 😊 I'm 35 and got into Tekken with Tekken 2 when I was like 6. it was one of my very first PS1 games. This series has meant a lot to me over the years and is the reason I'm as big a fighting game fan as I am. The crazy story and lore, the cast of characters, the music, the visuals, the gameplay. All top tier! It makes me feel bad for virtual fighter. Now there is a series that stagnated into irrelevance despite them competing at one point. It makes me more appreciative of how Tekken has managed to keep on going for 30 years. Cheers to you man for checking it out on a whim

My uncle gave me and my brother a PS1 back in 2007 with tekken 2 and a few other games. me and my bro would play it all the time. We stopped playing because it was a game for the PS and xbox, we only had Nintendo consoles. Eventually we would get back into it with tekken 7 on PC, and man the game has changed so much. I am so glad that with tekken 8 you can use the jukebox and make the music the Tekken 2 music instead of the "modern" tekken tunes. Great video btw

Tekken 4 and 5 are my favourite Tekken games of the Franchise. ☯️ By the way Tekken 4 had the best story and atmosphere no doubt. Also my favourite Tekken Intros of the series are 4 and 5. Especially Tekken 4, developers did a lot of things incredibly right, most storylines were incredibly cool and the atmosphere and seriousness was just on a another level. I don't think most would disagree that Tekken 4 had a great"everything-except-the-fighting" to it. Great and Epic soundtracks, unique character designs, good individual stories, and an interesting main Mishima arc revival. The thing is that it's still a fighting game and no matter how great everything else is, if the fighting bit is flawed it'll overshadow the positives. Tekken 4 is sourly the most unique and underrated (mostly because of the choices that hindered the competitive scene) but it is my favorite Tekken to date, because of the very seriousness Vibes of the Story aspects perspective. The seriousness atmosphere of Tekken 4 it's on another level in my opinion.The soundtrack is what gets me the most next to the game's atmosphere. With soundtracks like: Fetus(Prologue), Authentic Sky, Unihabited(Mall Area) Didgerhythm(Jungle Area) Touch and Go(Airport Area) and Kitsch(Beach Area) and The Inner Shrine(Hon-Maru Temple) and others soundtracks, For me Tekken 4 remains even in these days the most Unique Tekken game of the series. ☯️

Great video! Just some fun facts for your information that I haven't seen commented yet. Gon was actually a guest character (which is why he isn't in subsequent games), Eliza is from Revolution on PS3/PSN, and Tekken is actually was actually a Namco property rather than a Bandai property before the merger. The only other Tekken besides 8 that I got into was 3. I was in my early 20's then, and now I'm in my late 40's. So it's a been a minute. Just to think, I thought 3 looked amazing at the time. Suffice to say I'm competely blown away by 8. Hands down the best 3D fighter ever made.

tekken 8 is pretty good. no spoilers if you haven't played the story yet, but the music callbacks and remixes from the old tekken games hit hard. they put them at the perfect spots its epic. the online is way more fast paced than 7 so far too.

28:00 Arcade mode exists because PS2 has PSX CPU + Backwards Compatibility "Namco System 11/12" was based off PSX but Sys 12 had overclocked CPU. since CPU was native the rest of porting was much more than easier (size of those games is max up to ~100MB in total) after getting reconstructed it doesn't seem to be hard anymore :D as for 5DR : 5.0 (PS2 ver.) was SUPER i mean SUPER in-balanced, arcade version even received 5.1 update that gave game turqoise lifebars 5DR fixes 99% of problems that 5.0 had but they never released Tekken 5 DR as whole game with all off PS2 content which is a shame :/

1. Im pretty sure hwoarangs low to high kick launcher was never a natural combo, computers just suck 2. Im pretty sure tekken 4 was hatedcuz it removed almost all of the movement tekken 3 and tag 1 had 3. Im kinda confused on the comment that T4s more bout combos, when theyre very limited and usually low dmg, in the previous 2 games, 1 punish with a launcher would give you like 50% of their health Otherwise, prettycool vid

What I mean by that is the damage scaling in 3 you don’t need combos as everyone hits do crazy damage. And for the kick it would miss on block as well. The bot would stand block I hit the low then it misses even on block.

@@syhlax2247 your first point is half right, characters did have high dmg moves, tho many of em arent good outside of bullying the computer, unless youre paul, of course, and some others Yeah ok, low kick high kick thing on hwoarang actually looks trash in tekken 4, literally needs a counter hit to even function, cuz normally theyd have to block duck after the low hit but it whiffing like thats just weird
