I don't think *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan* is the worst TMNT game. I say it's Awesome and Epic to play. I definitely enjoyed playing it.

I played TMMT Out of the shadows with my college room mates and we had a nice time playing it despite the bugs amd glitches

Nah. Turtles In Time Re-Shelled, Mutants In Manhattan, and Tournament Fighters aren't terrible. They shouldn't be on this list.

"Mutant Melee" is a very fun game.

There was a mistake there: the game that you show as being "TMNT Arcade Game - DOS Version" is actually the British ZX Spectrum microcomputer version of the first TMNT (famous in its NES version). This Spectrum game, which was also ported to MSX, was actually pretty good by the standards of the hardware in question and received very positive reviews at the time.

very true, huge mistake labeling that as DOS game, even the "correct" DOS port has way better graphics than the one shown here. Also both zx spectrum & DOS & including other home computer versions are ports from NES version btw.

TMNT Tournament Fighter on the NES was actually quite solid, flicker and slowdown were not an issue; actually, the main fault of the game was character variety. But the gameplay was great.

I swear to GOD !! TMNT Mutant Manhattan came out at the WRONG TIME !! I will stand on this hill of it being one the most fun TMNT Games.

That's what I thought too.

TMNT: Out of the Shadow had some jank but the hip-hop ost combat and exploration was the bomb. Especially when played when up to 4 friends. Such a good time.

If TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan is a bad game, then every game on the PS3 must have been awesome.

Why does Mutants In Manhattan has to be so hated? I mean sure, It is considered a cash grab thanks to Activision, But atleast don't blame it on Platinum Games for that. It's was Activision's fault why the game is hated. And i enjoyed Mutants In Manhattan just well enough. And The Shredder looks pretty badass in that game.

Tmnt out of the shadows was dope man and I enjoyed mutants in manhattan.

I know OotS was buggy, but that game has the best martial arts display of any TMNT game. I absolutely love it.

Can't believe one of the best TMNT shows spawned one of the worst TMNT games...

I really want an Open-World TMNT Game in the Batman: Arkham Games and Spider-Man PS4 Game Style with a new iteration of the Turtles!

I don't know why they even made Tournament Fighters on NES. In 1994, NES was pretty much dead, and Teenge Mutant Ninja Turtles was also losing popularity after the failure of the 3rd movie, and the cartoon show was being overshadowed by Power Rangers and darker cartoons like Batman, X-Men and Gargoyles.

Mutant Melee was awesome, me and my friends used to play it all the time.

Ain't no way mutants in Manhattan is considered bad, That gane was freaking awesome! It could've gotten a few tweaks but overall it's rlly fun!😊

The Arkham games would be a great concept for a TMNT game. For both traversal and combat, and also detective work if you play as Donatello.

Geez the turtles have gotten the short end of the stick way too many times, wtf

I think you should have included the actual DOS version of TMNT which was released in 1990 by Unlimited Software as that game cannot be beaten without cheats at all.

Don't forget that Out of the Shadows tried to mimic the combat from the Arkham games. Granted, that sounds amazing on paper, but the way it was "executed" left a lot to be desired.

publishers and the license holders don't invest a lot of time and money into the games development because they know people, mostly parents/grandparents, will buy it solely based on the product that's on the cover. they make the dev team aim for the lowest bar possible so they can rush it out the door because they want/expect a quick turn around on their investment.

Love these lists. Some of these on it I disagree with but there's been a LOT of TMNT games. If anybody is interested I've done a concept workup of a Batman: Arkham City style TMNT -not Out of the Shadows style. It's 3 years old and will be reworking it here soon. The combat system/animations weren't that great then. Still, a thought!

I have and love Mutants In Manhattan.Barrel of fun.TMNT In Time Reshelled also looks like fun.

Mutants in Manhattan I buyed day 1 and liked a lot, played like 2 months online until I got tired. I feel like this game is an arcade style game combined with online gameplay, I like the controls, many combos, you can upgrade your specials, and each time you play there are different missions. Probably there are only 2 things I don’t like, with one hit from any boss you loose half of your life bar, and the second thing, you should be able to play 4 players in the same console, I don’t mind if you have to divide the screen in 4.

Your crazy out of the shadows not only has top 5 best turtles designs it is top 2 best tmnt games along with mutants in manhattan

#9 came out in mid-2013, so just within the mid-2010s range.

TMNT for the ds, the Michael Bay turtle game for the 3ds, and the first turtle game for the Nes should be on this list. Take out Mutant Melee because that is a good game.

The Sega Mega Drive version of "Tournament Fighters" is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than the NES version. The NES version is even rather a quite impressive feat. they have pulled off. Best on is still the SNES version though.

5:20 It’s not the Arcade Game! It’s just an NES Version ported over to MS-DOS on PC. In the horrible way!

Mutants in Manhattan is the best looking TMNT game…however, I hated playing it because the way it was designed was that action game stagger mechanic and then having to do special attacks to cut down boss health. That’s fine for some folk but it made some enemies way too spongey and it kind of sucks to do it solo which you can only resolve by playing online. Personally, that’s just not my bag

I enjoyed Mutants in Manhattan, I had it for ps3 (which I don’t have anymore) & sucks cause it’s crazy expensive to get it for my ps4 or Xbox 1

I've been a HUGE Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan since I was a kid and were played TMNT with brothers and friends on outside with wooded weapons. My name is Leo but I was Donatello on our plays because I did not get to be a leader our friend wanted to be Leonardo, my little brothers was Michelangelo and Raphael and my big brother was a Shredder our villain. I really like TMNT cartoons defienitily first 1989, 2003, Fast Foward, Back To the Sewer and Nickelodeon 2012 TMNT, 2021 isn't my favourite but it's good and I wan't to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem movie it looks and sounds weird but im fine with that and as a TMNT fan I need to see that movie. I've played three TMNT games on my lifetime Wii's TMNT SMASH UP, NICKELODEON TMNT and TMNT Shredder's Revenge on Nintendo Switch. Best Ninja Turtles game I've played are Smash Up and Shredder's Revenge and worst is NICKELODEON TMNT wii game, it's good but not the best one. I am really interested of playing TMNT 2007 movie Ps2 game, Tmnt Out of the shadows, Tmnt Mutant Melee 1 and 2 on ps2 and Tmnt mutants in manhattan on ps4. COWABUNGA IT'S PIZZA TIME! 🌃🏯⚔️🥷🏻🐀🐢🐢🐢🐢🍕

been a fan since the late 80's and the 80's cartoon is my favorite cartoon of all time the (2003) one is great and i haven't seen the ones after that not counting the (2007) film which i really loved

I gotta object…not because TMNT: OOTS doesn’t deserve to be here tho. That thing has some jank and bugs all over BUT. It has the best combat of any TMNT game. And I reject button mashing being some harsh criticism. The problem is people will call it button mashy when the only thing they know how to do is mash buttons. You get out of the system what you put into it and if you understand what each turtle handles like once you get them on the attack, it has more depth. If you don’t like the analog stick specials, fine. But don’t use “button mashing” as some derogatory point when damn near everyone’s favorite TMNT is Turtles in Time or Arcade and what’s the thing so special you do there???? Exactly 😂.

i have i think they are the Nick games i own both one is on PS3 the other the 360 i forget the titles one of them i don't remember if i beat it but the other i did and they aren't great games but i've played far worse. some of these i've never even heard of and i've been a fan since like i want to say maybe (1987) or (1988) or (1989) it was around in the late 80's but it was before the film came out and i never heard of some of these games.

Okay, disagree on one of your list. TMNT Tour Fighters for NES is one of the finest fighting game. Soundtracks are amazing and rocking. It is lackluster, but it's one of the best fighting game in the NES

Mutants in Manhattan >Hit spongy enemies >No health upgrades, you can die very easily >Game punishes you for trying to avoid damage by stunning you for dodging too many times in a row >Levels drag on for way too long, including tasks where you have to hold down the button for 20 seconds, and 15 minutes on a spongy boss. >It ends on a cliffhanger almost like if Platinum wanted to do another game afterward, but because that game flopped, the cliffhanger will never be resolved Keep in mind, Mutants in Manhattan would _not_ be the last Activision licensed game, as they put out one more licensed game (Ghostbusters 2016) that was so bad, it caused its dev to file for bankruptcy. It had that infamous final boss that you could hide in a corner and avoid all of its attacks. Fun fact: TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan shares a _lot_ of DNA with Granblue Fantasy Relink. Both have the R1+face button specials, the critical state mechanic, the item D-Pad. It's almost like if TMNT was built on an early alpha of Granblue Fantasy Relink, seeing that Relink started development back in 2015. The only Relink-like games (excluding Tales/Ys because that's too obvious) I know are Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online, Dusk Diver 2, Shining Resonance Refrain, and Dragon Quest Warriors 2.
