Honestly, the entire Innuendo album is insanely impressive. This is the voice of a dying man infected by an illness that also affects the vocals. The fact that he was able to sing that good at this stage is absolutely mindblowing. Really makes you wonder how he would have sounded, if he had taken better care of his voice during his prime. Without smoking, drugs, nodules and a grueling tour plan, one can only imagine...

You can't separate the 'Lover of Life' from the 'Singer of Songs'. :) He'd be a better singer, but a bitter man. :( He did live like a legend. May his soul rest in peace.

Actually he recorded it in 1990 but the song was released weeks before he died. Still amazing how he was able to record a song like that whilst extremely sick.

I'm really surprised that Gimme the Prize wasn't on this list. I heard that it's a really difficult song to sing and that Freddie hated singing it for that reason.

There are much harder Queen songs to sing. Songs such as Gimme The Prize, Prince Of The Universe, The Hitman, The Hero (This song is insane the song is around A4 - D5), It's Late ext. ext. These are also the songs that you hardly see any covers for. The real difficulty is singing these high notes with same amount of power as Freddie Mercury.

The live show you're sampling from for Bohemian Rhapsody was his opening piece for Live Aid 1985. It was later said that he had a problem with his voice during that performance.

I love this. I am musically hopeless but am intrigued by the notes and octaves.

Of course Freddies voice is unbelievable. And don´t think I don´t love him. He´s my idol and it´s absolutly incredible what he did for music but I missed Rogers solos. When this video just was about Freddie, I absolutly agree with that but I think that it´s not the easiest thing to sing one of Rogers falsettos. Legends live forever, even if they don´t want to and we´ll always care that you died Freddie!

A song I find hard to sing is One Year Of Love. There's a good few parts in there that are very difficult for me. I don't think it's the hardest (😉) or anything but difficult nonetheless.

I'd probably throw Action This Day on this list. Multiple B4s and C#5 sustains are really hard to do in one take.

Singing Dont stop me now at home I realised it is almost impossible to sing it well. No one like Freddie. On a piano I realised I can barely go beyond D4 or E4 on full voice, and I suck at falsetto XD. I would also add Don't try so hard, from innuendo. I cannot believe at all how Freddie was so constant at high notes, being so ill at that time, if you have not heard it, it will blow up your head

Im pretty sure on Exercises in Free Love, Princes of The Universe Under Pressure, The Kiss (demo), Great King Rat, Love Kills, live Impromptu in Welmbley, Rio, Milan, Tokyo, and Sun City, just to name a few. Not meaning the songs or pieces are more difficult, but he has sung much higher than an F5. Great video, but I just wanted to point that out.

I think Somebody To Love is tricky, not hard. Picking where to take a breath is extremely important for making it through that one.

Also ‘The Kiss’ is very hard

Well you can sing them of course, but can you the way Freddie did? Like, singing the high notes not in falsetto but in a „normal“ or even raspy voice. Or singing two different notes at the same time? I also can sing along but I doubt that without professional singing lessons someone who isn’t incredibly talented could sing these songs like that.
