Lists make sure that you don't forget anything. It's too easy to forget something because you assume it's there. I've done it on a bike, and I'm sure it's easier to do with a truck setup.

    Big Sexy Beast Adventures it depends on what kind of a trip I’m packing for but usually if I have my full gear I have two big plastic boxes and I keep the tall things on their side between them such as the grill, the table, and another small table, the portable bathroom tent. If I’m going off roading I tie everything down with bungee cords. As you know the FJ has some good tiedown points inside.

    Big Sexy Beast Adventures i’m seriously considering starting a KZread channel. I am more of a car camper although I do have a gazelle tent but sometimes I sleep inside the FJ. All I have is my iPhone 11 for filming. I do have an older GoPro hero four but I’m not really sure how to use it it was given to me as a gift. And I do have another more expensive Olympus camera but I need to learn how to use for videos. Hardest thing for me will be editing and actually putting a video together. So for now I just post on Facebook and Instagram.

    Hello. I'll be trying to make a similar setup soon and hit the road working remotely for a few month before i have to be back in the office. My main priority is being able to get the work done effectively. Do you mind sharing more about your wifi set up / cell crevice amplifier? What provider do you use for the LTE? How much does it generally cost? do you get throttled ? Sorry lots of questions

  • @BigSexyBeastAdventures

    @BigSexyBeastAdventures

    3 жыл бұрын

    I use verizon. I didn't get throttled this trip. It's workable if you plan ahead on days that you need hyper connectivity. It helps if you pool your high connectivity meetings on certain days of the week. You'll want to camp with good line of sight to a tower those days and use the booster to get you to full signal. There were a couple of days where I still wanted a sat phone for voice calls.... but not many. Happy to help with more questions.

    @@BigSexyBeastAdventures Thanks for the info. Love your videos and very inspiring. I'm planning on doing some living from the road with my Tundra. In Jersey now and my goal is to hit the cape lookout national first, Smokey mtns next, then make my way south to FL and eventually Baja for some surfing and spearfishing. 1) I got an OTR like you do, but not sure where to mount it without the roof basket on the top. Where did you have it mounted before? 2) How was the cape lookout trip in terms of service / conference calling/ zoom? Are there spots where connectivity was better you would suggest? I work as a mangement consultant so I have quite a bit of zoom calls, though some could just be phone calls, going on in my week and with a new project starting up, I suspect things are going to get pretty busy I'm excited for the trip and adventure, but working has to be a priority, at least 5 days week ha. Gotta pay for all this fun somehow! Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

I was thinking a more aggressive mud terrain next since I don't have lockers on the tundra.

  • @BigSexyBeastAdventures

    I had a ‘17 Tacoma TRD Pro right before buying the Tundra. The Tacoma transmission and gearing is frustrating. It gear hunts a lot. There are a few videos out on KZread about this and some people regear their new Tacoma’s. Apparently Toyota does this for mpg. The Tacoma is much more narrow trail friendly. Tundra can feel a little big on trails and in the woods. On the whole, I love the V8 and the crew max cab. I’m about to drop the predator steps for slee step sliders.

    @@BigSexyBeastAdventures Cool. I just got a new truck and ordered an ARE TW. 4 month wait. But my Decked will be here this week. I had to get the 6' 6" bed because I'm 6' 1" I asked because you look taller than 5 1/2 ft. Happy camping

    How comfortable is to sleep? I have a 6.5ft bed for the tundra and noticed yours is the crew max. Is it uncomfortable? I’m 6ft tall and love the crewmax look but grew too much aha

    I did maybe 100 nights in the shell. The only drawback is gear/clothes management at night. I'm a little shorter than you 5'10"

    ..Interesting...I don’t know why you wound up in my thread, but I watched. My only question that I don’t expect an honest answer for but hey, why not 🤷🏻‍♀️. How do you sleep at night knowing that you’re paid well for your contribution to the end of the world & all of humanity?
