The tea cup is so cute!!! I read Where the Dark Stands Still and I think you would really like it because it's major gothic vibes with a sentient house. It was 5 stars for me!!!

Carcoma (Woodworm) is definitely one of my top 3 books for all time! I guess it has lots more meaning for Spanish people as it continuously touches the Spanish civil war, the dictatorship and its aftermath.

I absolutely adored so much of it and it's one that I honestly am loving the more I think about it! I definitely had moments reading it where I was aware that I was lacking context to fully appreciate it, I'm so glad you loved it!

Powerless was written by Lauren when she was 18 so thats probably why it read so YA. But it was still the book that got me out of a reading slump.

I loved so much of Powerless and it reading YA absolutely makes sense as it is a YA fantasy ~ I love that it got you out of a slump!!! it's such a fun one

The May TBR is a finish before June comes because when June comes, it's new releases time. June has A Novel Love Story, Middle Of the Night, Not in Love, Leather and Lark, The Midnight Feast, One Last Summer and Just Some Stupid Love Story. Anything I didn't read in May, will be added to the July TBR. We're going to be sat for a whole damn month and I CANNOT WAIT!

Maybe everbody has told you this in the comments already, but you NEED to read The House of Spirits by Isabell Allende. It was one of my favourite books of last year and if you liked her writing in the short story, you‘ll LOVE it in this one. ❤

Oh! Question 🙋‍♀️ can I just read The Reappearance of Rachel Price as a standalone?? Or do I have to read GGGTM series first? I'm glad you enjoyed Powerless! 🤗 I picked up Powerless, recently via audiobook but I dnf'ed it 💔💔😭 I hope I'm not alone on this, and dont offend anyone... but I felt like whenever the female narrator did Kai's voice, I kinda kept cringing....🙊 she sometimes made his voice sound like a smoker and other times kinda like a tired older guy 🙊🙈 I kept trying but all I could think was if she was trying to make his characters voice sound "husky, seductive" or something- but it did the complete opposite and it really threw me off. Aside that, it was good! But I just personally had a hard time and couldn't get into it. I'm definitely going to just try again but read it physically instead 😅 I hope I'll enjoy it that way better. The familiar by Leigh Bardugo sounds interesting! I haven't read any of her books for awhile but this one definitely caught my attention. Also looks perfect for the fall time 🤗 maybe I'll pick it up once Autumn arrives 🍂📖🧡🍁📖📚

Rachel Price is a standalone so it doesn't have any relation to AGGGTM! I loved the audiobook but do agree that in some scenes hearing them be narrated definitely felt slightly more cringy...

My favorite book in April was Just for the Summer. I think I settled on 4 stars for The Familiar. The third act was the weakest part of the book imo.
