Yukon Striker Slander. I rode that thing 7 times in a row in the single rider line and had an absolute blast. I love the drop through Vortex's helix.

I know one day I rode it 21 times (17 in a row) the operations were incredible and the layout just got better each time (Canada’s wonderland is my home park)

The annoying thing about Rutschebanen at Tivoli is that you really need to sit in the very last row to feel the insane airtime. The difference between very last and second-to-last is huge, for some reason.

As a KC resident, Zambezi Zinger is not really worth the wait. Prowler is a far superior coaster. As someone who grew up riding the original Zinger, I appreciate the homage with the spiral lift hill, but I think the ride was kind of a missed opportunity. I liked it but at best it’s the 4th best coaster in the park currently.

I'm in the same boat as you, I grew up with the Zinger too and while I like that they paid respect to it and I honestly do find the new one fun, it really should have just been a steel coaster. It needed to be smooth and fun for families like the old one was. It didn't push the needle enough for the park because it's sort of in between the two things it should have been.

@@blakebetsworth9869 Exactly. My nephew who rides literally every other ride in the park when we go, refuses to ride the new Zinger again because he said it’s way too rough. For context he loves riding Timber Wolf and Boomerang. Worlds of Fun kind of failed making a family coaster for that reason alone.

I was disappointed with Tornado for a different reason! I was ready to love it but both times the whip over the first drop painfully karate chopped my collar bone! I know others have experienced this, but interesting that you didn’t .

As a pretty experienced coaster rider and not a big fan of woody's that sounds like the sort of woody's i ussualy do like. well i got plans to go there next year so i'll see.

​@@mikes6457 Everyone keeps telling me it's terrible, but I still have my hopes. I've yet to ride a GCI I didn't like, and that includes Roar at SF America. Those lateral snaps look awesome, and the pacing looks great. I'm definitely going to try and get back next year. I went this year about a week before Zinger opened. Got to watch it test though, I think for the first time (or at least one of the first) with people on it too.

Exciting! Zambezi Zinger was my biggest coaster disappointment yet. It was a good idea to recreate the old shwarscoff pardon my spelling but the time was not right and they need to look into Zambezi a bit.

If you look at Zambezi Zinger against Spinning Dragons Timber Wolf and boomerang it's the best family coaster in the park. If Six Flags compares it to prowler patriot and mamba and that's all we get for 10 years, that's BS and we got screwed.

I had a good time with it. The main problems for me was it was nostalgia bait , which honestly besides the spiral lift hill it is nothing like the original, and it’s pretty much Prowler JR.

@@Bkm185 yea it really just comes down to the parks intent with it. If we're going to 8, and I hope we are please let it be something with a launch. Ik we're not getting anything crazy, but my wife's from Orange county and we went to Knott's right before Xcelerator shut down for it's paint job, and I got a ride on Montezoomas revenge. If we could get something between those two rides it would be awesome. Maybe a power splash to replace Monsoon, or a Raptor would be welcome too.

Nice video as always! I will be visiting Lost Island this year and Nopuko will be my first SLC. I don't have high hopes

Airtime Thrills you should try coming to the UK. We have some very cool coasters and the current inversion record holder, The Smiler at Alton Towers

Iron Gwazi is my honorable mention. I thought it was a letdown at first, but I was also not in the best condition at the time. I was whooped from the trip, combined with allergy issues.

Did three or four laps Rutschebanen at night a couple of weeks ago in -2C (28F) and got sick air in the back on the finale, sorry it didn't work out

Of the 24 new coasters I rode this year, here's my 5 losers: 5. Apollo's Chariot - This ride didn't quite live up to the power of the other hypers I've ridden (Mako, Goliath, Intimidator, Diamondback). I knew it was one of the weakest though, so I wasn't too disappointed. It wasn't forceful at all at first, but after Pantheon broke (twice) I made a new friend, riding Apollo's over and over until Pantheon reopened. It sped up later and has some decent floater, so it's still pretty high on my list. 4. Anaconda - I knew this ride wasn't good, but I was expecting a rough, intense ride. It actually wasn't very rough, but it was forceless. I mean, yay inversions, but at that point I'd rather ride Dominator. 3. Reptilian - I really thought this ride would feel more unique. Now it still does a little, but it mostly felt like I was riding a large version of a Vekoma Junior coaster. 2. Alpengeist - I really enjoyed Banshee and Montu, and I heard Alpengeist had been running well lately. I was excited as I thought it could be up there with those inverts. However, Alpengeist was not very forceful. Actually, it's the least forceful invert I've ridden (behind Afterburn). Now I still enjoyed it as the inversions and speed were both a lot of fun, but it's now my lowest B&M invert. 1. Dominator - I heard this was one of the better floorless coasters. After riding Kraken, I thought this might also be good as well. While I enjoyed it for what it is, it was not intense. Maybe I picked the wrong rows? Not sure, I didn't bother too much because I was busy riding I305 Overall, great trip. Despite being disappointing, Apollo's and Alpengeist were lots of fun, and the highlight coasters were amazing. Maybe I can get to Cedar Point next year!

Wildfire runs slow in the rain. Go in the summer and try get a nice day, its rlly good then

My 10 biggest losers on the 131 coasters I rode for the first time are: 1. Troy- Ran rough and not as good as the elite GCI's in America or even the second tier 2. Karacho- Punchy launch but extremely rough all things considered. 3. Jersey Devil- Just didn't run as good as Wonder Woman at SFMM 4. Tonnerre 2 Zeus- I only rode it once and I did ride it backwards but the second half it died a bit on the second half in terms of pacing. 5. Heidi the Ride- No where near as good as White Lightning 6. Talon- Ended up being my #500 but on the lower end of inverts. 7. Mammut- Really didn't do anything. 8. Coastersaurus- I thought it was going to be better for a Legoland park but it was rough. 9. Firebird (SFAm)- Knew it was bad but I found it to be very close to being at the very bottom of my list. Brutal ride. 10. Condor (Walibi Holland)- Really brutal coaster. Again I knew it was bad just not this bad.

Karacho wasn't really rough for me. And yes it had a slight rattle and it was a bit worse in the second row but nothing really bad. It can of course be that it has gotten rougher since my visit in 2021

@@vincugames Went there this year its still running fine some people just don't like the the gerstlauer rattle and considering whats on his list he fits the profile. Nothing wrong with that. if i would go on what airtimethrills thinks of great coasters i would stop ridding them People just like differnt styles. Like this guy there is 4 four on them that i actualy like or don't mind being bad. So if he would say what parks and coaster he likes i can sort of adjust it to what i will feel for them.

@@vincugames Sory about the extra crap i put in then but yes it actually ran nice and the weather was horrible when i was there. almost no downtime either wich was suprising considering the weather.

With that said, Karacho was one of the coasters that was a fair amount below what I expect considering what people said about it going into it. Troy, Jersey Devil, Tonnerre 2 Zeus are all very good coasters all things considered.

So, prediction time for the top 100. According to my count, we have at least five new credits making the top 50 (2 from the US, 3 from Europe). That means at least five coasters are getting pushed out of the top 100. Let's look at last year's 91-100 to see what might be going: 91. GaleForce - Playland's Castaway Cove 92. Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce 93. Fahrenheit - Hersheypark 94. Expedition Everest - Disney's Animal Kingdom 95. Texas Stingray - Sea World San Antonio 96. Copperhead Strike - Carowinds 97. Great Bear - Hersheypark 98. Dominator - Kings Dominion 99. Batman Knight Flight - Geauga Lake 100. Superman: Ride of Steel - Six Flags America Also in danger, as they were listed as significant "shot down the list" coasters and aren't high enough for their position to be totally secure: 66. Ride of Steel - Six Flags Darien Lake 67. Gemini - Cedar Point 90. Comet - Hersheypark I don't know with 100% certainty how many new debuts will be on the list, especially the second half, but I'll make an educated guess and say seven. We know it's going to be at least five, and adding two more in the second tier wouldn't be an outlandish assumption. Also, alone in the bottom 10 of the top 100, Great Bear was listed as a coaster that went up the list, albeit low on that list--still, that may be enough to save it from being relegated to the third tier. Given the info from the videos we've seen thus far, my predictions for the coasters exiting the top 100 (the most likely ones at the bottom): 94. Expedition Everest - Disney's Animal Kingdom 95. Texas Stingray - Sea World San Antonio 96. Copperhead Strike - Carowinds 90. Comet - Hersheypark 98. Dominator - Kings Dominion 99. Batman Knight Flight - Geauga Lake 100. Superman: Ride of Steel - Six Flags America As a bonus, here are the five coasters that are most likely to drop into the second tier from the first: 45. Behemoth - Canada's Wonderland 46. Gold Striker - California's Great America 48. Railblazer - California's Great America 49. Griffon - Busch Gardens Williamsburg 50. Intimidator - Carowinds Candymonium (#51) from Hersheypark was listed as a winner, but it was low on the "winners" list and I don't believe that will be enough to move it into the first tier against the tide. Twisted Cyclone at Six Flags Over Georgia was also a weak winner, but it was higher up (#47) and that may be _just_ enough to save it from relegation to the second tier. How accurate will my predictions be? Stay tuned; we'll know the answers on Monday.

also, Green lantern had a MUCH more forceful brake, as kernu or insanity just slowed down to the station/block brake, here,: 10:21 you see it flipping upside down, but braking almost to a stop WHILE upside down,(#thankfull for not riding it) But insanity,: 10:25 , it just rolled into station! amazing content airtime thrills!🤑

Tornado was fine, pretty smooth and forceless but had 1 great airtime pop, and then one other decent one at the end. Teddy bear was pretty much like any ptc family woodie like the woodstock expresses

I actually thought Aquaman at SFOT way exceeded expectations! It was way more enjoyable than I thought it’d be, definitely a top coaster in the park.

Pfff if its the same one as they have in Belgium and it looks like it then meyy but i can understand why people would like it especially on a hot day. That makes it so much fun everybody loving something else in the coastercommunity.

Going there next year you people are getting me excited. I have a pretty high tolerance for SLC and i wonder if this one is as bad as condor. If it is thats going to be fun for a couple of rides. And i do mean fun i'm wired a bit weird i guess.

Being from europe i rode all the ones from europe only didn't in the ones in the states on this list. I think you went with the wrong expectations. Or you watched the wrong channels. without boostmode the one in bakken is just a glorfied carnival coaster. Rutchebaan is just famous because of its age not that its a particulair good coaster. Ive done insane a couple of times its a bit hit or miss if you get a good ride it is insane maybe a bit to much. If you get a normale one i agree with your assesment. As for Piraten i rode it last time in 2022 on a hot summer day. Its a pretty nice coaster one of the best ones in Denmark. But then despite having plenty of coasters they don't have any elites. The only one i find really weird is Wildfire thats still my nr 1 woody although that might be because is don't really like woody's all that much and this one feels more like a steelcoaster then a woody. But yes its much smaller then you think i agree with that. So while i can't fault what you are saying i think youre expectations where way of if you just had seen the the stats and now comments from anybody else you probable would have had much lower ones. Besides i don't think we have many good coasters in the type you prefere most of ours are more of the short and intense type. I think you would like FLY though. I found it dissapointing in a sence that it wasn't forcefull enough. it sort of reminded me of the ones you liked and i found a bit boaring. Having said that it is better then any other flying coaster i have ridden and its a fun ride.

I’m surprised Darkoaster didn’t make the losers list. I rode it more than once, and I’ll ride it again the next time I visit BGW, but so far as new coasters in 2023…. It was just okay.

Emo coasters

Tornado is SUPER overhyped. The lift hill is so fast that the sharp turn right after the lift cracks your neck in half. After that its kinda just a spinning coaster.

I reckon Speed Monster is a really solid ride. If it's warmed up, it can offer some great forces, at least on my visit. It's one of the most underrated coasters I've personally ridden

He typically posts them at the end of the year. I think he's got only four video release slots left this year (not counting his complete Astroworld documentary, which he'll probably post independently of the normal schedule), on the 18th, 21st, 25th, and 28th. I wanna say two of those will be his top 100, and if he follows the pattern he did last year, he'll also post a video about the news stories that defined 2023. The fourth slot, I'm not so sure about; maybe he's got a vlog on a late-year park visit? I guess we'll find out, but my guess is we'll see the 100-51 video on either the 18th or 21st, and the top 50 the video after that.

I have 4 slots left but since the 25th is a Monday i am using that to post the documentary, but will also have a Saturday year end video and looking forward to next year. The last Thursday will be the year in review video. Top 100 and 50 will be next week

I’m surprised. I loved insane

If new parks are eligible to be mentioned here, it's Knott's Berry Farm. If their guest control is so poor that a parent chaperone from a school group they invited is punching me in the face for not letting his daughter line jump me, that's a problem. And the line jumping is epidemic! Worse than any other park I've seen, by far. My response is Knott's is now on my "coaster club only" list, ie parks I will only visit as part of an event with a coaster club. If we're talking rides, Great Nor'Easter at Morey's would be the big one. Best SLC? Yes. Better than the other clones at Morey's? Yes. But better than Great White? Heck no. Better than some B&M inverts? Heck no. I will admit though the relentless positives are sustained a little long for me, give me an airtime moment in the middle and maybe I'd say it's deserving of the praise.

@@AirtimeThrills I don't consider it "overrated" per say. But for me if a ride is going to be that intense I like it to throw in some airtime/negative G moments. For me the positives on NorEaster are right at that sweet spot where they're sustained long enough they need to be broken up and not reaching the "just feel the power to believe it" point that Montu reaches. Comparing it to other coasters I've ridden, Canadian Mindbender did this right by having a few good airtime moments to break up the punishing positives of the loops. Something NorEaster simply lacks. It is absolutely the SLC I have the most laps on by far, for good reason. But for my tastes it's just an ok clone far better than any other SLC or Boomerang that I would have ultimately rather seen torn down and replaced with an RMC Raptor knowing the money that's gone into it.

Green Lantern at Magic Mountain was the absolute worst! Can't forget the terrible pain in the crotch with that awful seat design and terrible swinging

I didnt do boost mode because my girlfriend refused after being bashed around in normal mode 😢

Zambezi Zinger should have been your #1 loser. The weakest GCI in years and it goes to a park that doesn’t need it and won’t get another coaster for 5-10 years.

To be honest, Yukon Striker is quite easily the worst B&M at CW, but still pretty great. Sidewinder is a hit-or-miss element depending on where you sit, though

I don’t get how u whine about Piraten’s restraints and still love RMC’s which have the absolute worst lap bars in the world …?
