I just bought one of your tooth brushes in preparation to start brushing my cats teeth. I wanted to ask if it's necessary to brush the other side of the cats teeth as I noticed you stuck to the outsides but plaque must built up on the inside too right? Also thank you SO much for creating this tooth brush, I finally feel like I have an actual shot at looking after my kitties teeth!

Hi there! Ofc you can use the Pick side, the pointy side of the toothbrush to reach those part of their teefs. Hope this information helps!

We do brush both our cats' teeth weekly but the way you demonstrate is a much better method and probably will lead to less struggling for them. We have one cat who is a mouth breather and already had to have one tooth pulled because of decay, so I can't stress how important it is to brush kitty's teeth regularly! Those tooth cleaning treats and crunchy dry food just don't do a very good job by themselves, despite what the commercials would say! Another thing we found is that it's important to find toothpaste that the cats actually think tastes good. Try a few different kinds and if you have more than one cat you may have to use more than one flavor.

For what teeth/situations is the pointy side of the toothbrush for?

Hi Kae2678! It's meant to be used as a tool to get food & debris specifically from those back molars.

most cats are not going to tolerate being on their backs like that

so you're not brushing the other side of the teeth? The one that is touching the tongue I mean.

Nope! You only have to brush the outside of your cat's teeth since the inside surface doesn't need to be brushed because cat's have their tongue that rubs against it and their tongues are really rough. So you don't really have to pry you cat's mouth open to do that. It's still a good practice to check the inner aspects of your cat's mouth. If you're going to attempt to brush the inner part of their teeth, we would suggest to do it once a week. Hope this information helps!

For the health of everyone’s pets. Please read the book “Food Pets Die” For by Ann N. Martin. (Don’t use the recipes in the back though because they are not balanced). Also, look up Susan Thixton. Dogs and cats can live much longer than what you think is long. Kibble keeps animals alive but the animal is not thriving. It creates degenerative diseases (diabetes, arthritis, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, cancer, kidney and declining cognitive function and more) that show up later and owners put it down to old age. Feeding kibble, a highly processed food, puts your pets in a state of constant inflammation. Please educate yourself and don't be brain-washed by big commercial food companies and Big Pharma that fund vet schools. Kibble is dead food with no living enzymes. It is not human grade food. You need to feed your animals human grade food. Kibble is made from euthanized animals including your pets, from diseased and slaughtered animals from road kills and they even add feces and a lot worse stuff. There have been many recalls regarding pentobarbital (the drug used for euthanizing pets) found in commercial pet food. Big pet food companies lace the kibble with addictive stuff such as fats and more, to MAKE your animals eat the garbage, otherwise pets would not eat the stuff. Take control of your pets’ lives and your own because food companies do it to people too. PLEASE FEED YOUR PETS A SPECIES APPROPRIATE DIET, which is basically a balanced raw food diet. If you do not know what this is, please research and educate yourselves then pass on the information to other people. You can start with Dr. Karen Becker DVM regarding raw feeding for pets. Never stop educating yourselves in regards to proper nutrition for your pets. Remember, cats are obligate carnivores.
