I agree with you so far,...until you suggested hot yoga. I used to love hot yoga classes. However, my health problems correlate soon after my classes. It began compromising my lungs. I didnt have issues with asthma since childhood. Suddenly my breathing was difficult. I started getting pneumonia that required amoxicillin and steroids. I Was healthy, on no medications at 65, now 69. After a trip in 2020, I took 2 hot yoga classes, 2 days later I went to the hospital. After many tests and xrays. I was diagnosed with a bacterial lung infection. Why??? It was from hot yoga. Think about this. The water pools at the bottom of the vents after the class is over. This water creates mold and bacteria. Next class, it gets blown out into the room. Similar vector as legionnaires disease. I tried to bring it to the gyms attention but covid stopped everything.

I believe it!! Be careful what you watch and believe in especially on youtube which is the the way to make loads of cash if you take the time to watch, comment, like...doesn't matter as the videomaker is out to make money by selling you and gets commission on what they are trying to sell. Of course reused pools are loaded with bacteria etc. which proves they are not healthy and not treated properly especially germ feeding hot spas. Take care. God bless.

Menopause can make some woman crave savoury or sweet foods. Keep moving I'd say.. dance cycle or walk. If your that woman who craves fatty foods .like myself I'm 50 I struggle with sugars terribly. Thank you for your tips it's so lovely and caring and sharing🙏💜🦋🦋

I've entered menopause period amidst my phd studies, being an immigrant and alone to take care of my two daughters, while also worked, since I didn't have any scholarship. So, talk about mega hiper duper stress... I've began to have anxiety attacks and gained weight that nothing could fix it. Began to take ashwagandha for the stress and it helped me so much... I sleep again the whole night, no more anxiety attacks, even my hair stopped falling and then, along with intermitent fasting, I'm finally losing weight. Now, after this great video, gonna start resistency exercises to build muscle. Thank you so much for the excelent content!

I asked my father, a medical school professor, about hot yoga and his opinion was that it was unhealthy and could lead to bacterial infection, as stated in the comment below. I practice regular yoga, but was concerned about hot yoga being introduced years ago at my gym. I voiced my concerns and stopped attending. Eventually hot yoga was eliminated from the schedule, most likely due to feedback from more customers. I love yoga, but have found that instructors who jump on trends due to lack of medical education can cause more harm than good. I am 62 and cross train daily. I find that HITT classes and weight training have kept me in great shape. JJ has given us good advice other than the hot yoga.

I am so thrilled to find your videos tonight. I have just subscribed. I am 53, perimenopause (3 years now, 2nd year in I gave into using HRT Patches). I have the tug of war with hypothyroid vs the menopause and always having to get my labs done. The endocrinologist has actually given up on me lol!! (It fluctuates!! I have since learned it's GOING to during Menopause!) I think this is the first time I've heard anyone really go into the ** increase of protein ** with such clarity and motivation (AND resistance training)!! And HOW you present it all is SO wonderful *really really wonderful* I think you are the FIRST to convince me to try this path! (I have heard others but I'm sitting here rolling my eyes wondering where a pillow for a snooze is!) My body... has gained 45 lbs in the last 3 years, I've gone from a dress size 12 to a 22🙈🙈. I am... for lack of better words, going..........crazy. I am going to dive back into my nutritional sciences studies (Formerly a nutritional counsellor to help people lose weight ironically! I did not feel right practicing any more given my current physical and 'mind' state) But I LOVED your presentation in this way! I am eager to explore these options and more (AND very eager..... to lose this horrible weight!!) 🙈 thank you for being here!! 🙏🏼🌺

I strength train and yes, this is the BEST way...I love protien and creatine and GOOD carbs of course inline with my macros...and leafy veggies as well as NATURAL sugar....muscle burns fat....and SLEEEEEP!!!

Is it possible to get up a few minutes early? I live in an uneasy situation myself. I actually get up when everyone is asleep and do my exercises then. I spend 15 - 30 minutes a day doing a walking tape. Sometimes, I even watch my phone and exercise in my bathroom, and keep the volume low so no one knows I am exercising. If people ask me what I'm doing, I just say I'm using the bathroom. There are free workouts on KZread. I also kept my weight loss journey a secret so the people I live with couldn't sabotage my weight loss journey. Another thing, I know you're a caretaker, and it's difficult, but you also need to make yourself a priority. I always put other people first, including my family and my job. When I finally saw my picture last year, I saw how much I had stuffed down my stress using food. It took me losing my job and almost losing my mind for me to finally start putting myself first.

I use estrogens hormone therapy, I don t use hydrocarbonates, I do exercise and I don t lose weight. Maybe you can post a story of a real life person who was fat and lost weight during or after menopause (but is doesn t really end does it). We women are getting sick of people trying to sell weight loss without showing real people who lost belly fat in this period of their lives. There is literally NO real live person to find on you tube who lost weight during menopause. Only skinny, already good looking women who use their looks to sell their product, but have nothing to show for in terms of real live testimonies of fat people who did lose weight during/after menopause......

Wonderfully presented and well organized material on such. A critical topic. Regarding creatine, this was very timely and I have two questions. 1: I was happy to hear you Say there is no downside. I spoke to a cardiologist I know yesterday and we were talking about creatine and he mentioned it being hard on the kidneys. Can you please speak to this? I've taken it before and had to stop because of a bad reaction. However, I think I was overdoing. It. I am a group fitness instructor and was working out a lot more at that time. It's been several years ago and now that I'm 55, my husband and I are going to start and just do the 5g. per day. I also thought I'd cycle it and take a day off here and there and/or a week off every 6 or so weeks. Now I'm not sure if that would work. I do like to break from supplements from time to time. Just makes me feel good to give my body a rest. 2nd. Question: Do you think it is safe and/or necessary for an almost 17y/o male who has been working out regularly since Feb? My son is adamant that he needs it daily and cannot take. A break. I am concerned. Thanks so much from Ormond Beach 🌺🌺🌺🌞🌞🐬🐟🐠🌴 Lisa Loved u long time JJ 😉😂

Unfortunately, this throws me into menopause and I noticed out of the blue I started getting thicker in my lower abdomen and I was like, “What is this?” One of the oncologists on my team said that Aromatase Inhibitors can change your metabolic activity and instead of burning fat, you tend to store fat. I eat mostly a vegetarian diet but will eat some lean protein on occasion and I walk 3 miles a day. Lol, I do have the pink weights, and the blue ones so after seeing this video it looks like I need to bump up the weights to see better results. 🤞💕

I am going through the menopause. I was suddenly shocked to see my muscle mass change. I run so my legs are in good shape but my stomach just does not have any muscle. The fat around my stomach has just increased, I used to be able to suck my stomach in but now it hardly makes a difference. I am starting to do core exercises, weights and standing and most days. Hopefully it will help.

I was in 3 car accidents last one was in 2017 (head on collision): 4 1/2 Years physical therapy . I have osteoarthritis as a result. My question is how can I strengthen my body without hurting myself? I love me very much, I don’t want to give up, I lost 128lbs 14 years ago I have gained 30 back,& want it gone. I have a gym membership, spoke with them last week, but they don’t offer 1on1 ,said I could join in and look at some of the classes they have. I’m on egg shells when it comes to protecting myself,& I’m wondering if my walking might be hurting me. Thanks for your time, Cuddles from Canada 🇨🇦 M🍁🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️🌺🌸🧘‍♀️
