One thing I love to do is pitch shifting the rain and water sounds down between 1 and 2 octaves and add a bitcrusher. You get a nice and unique atmosphere for intros

In my song chai tea on Spotify i added foley to get a lo fi feel and people either love it or hate it, I had pouring sounds and tea stirring. I just think it makes it so much more interesting and gives a warm feeling 💕 great video!!

Or/And you can do what • do and get a field recorder and make your own unique ambiance libraries. You’ll get some funny looks when you’re recording a populated location but it’s way worth it. Just knowing you’re the only person in the world with a said pristine recording is a great feeling. Especially living in a digitally replicated music world.
