    Hey guys. I’m a new subscriber. Love the content. I’m 70 and a 9 HC but have been unable to hit my callaway Mavrik. I have 95 mph clubhead speed and can hit my 3 wood 230-240. Just haven’t been able to put the same swing on my driver. Your videos have REALLY helped. Playing from the whites there are only 6-7 holes where I need driver at 6100 yards. These have given me the confidence to do it. As Hogan said I’ve made more bogies from poor drives than 3 putts. Thanks

One of things I do at the range is sort my golf balls and take out the ones that are cracked, bald, warped, and set them aside…now I know what to do with them! They are perfect for doing a drill like this where the ball flight isn’t really relevant!

    This is great stuff…I used to be a downward angle of attack guy. In my efforts to get an upward angle, I’m flipping my wrists through impact and getting way too much height on my driver. I’m guessing that in each of the 5 swings with different angles of attack didn’t have dramatically different dynamic loft angles? Looks like he wasn’t flipping the club ahead of the shaft to get that upward attack, but just pushing the hands up, no?

    Hi guys, love this video but have to ask a question. We can see that the same relative body position is giving different angles of attack. But how is that happening? Something is different from swing 1 to swing 5 but you really didn't tell us how he got that positive attack angle with the same body position. What changes?

  • @krud6929

    @krud6929

    Agreed. From the looks of the different swings, his shaft lean becomes less throughout the 5 swings to become more positive. So to me it seems he’s hanging back with his head longer. It shows at contact his hips are further ahead but the head is less.

    @@AthleticMotionGolf right around 6 minutes and 30 seconds on the video, you were talking about how it was a good thing that the hips had moved forward out of the box. And more importantly the shoulders are square to the ball as it is struck and I think that is not efficient use of the additional rotation the shoulders can offer

    @@AthleticMotionGolf do you have an animation of Kyle Berkshire? He's very special with the way he uses his shoulders. It's an odd timing thing that is difficult to describe.

    Jeff Downhour the big fella has 6 screws in his back, so it’s tough to stand there for hours and make a swing or two cold turkey 😬. That being said he did get loose and hit one in an upcoming video👍

    Maybe I missed it, but I didn't understand "how" the Pro went from hitting down 2* with his driver to up 5* without any noticeable changes in his body angles. What did he do differently?

    The intent of lining the club up vertically at impact from the face on view was what allowed him to do that. He released some of the angles a bit to do that

    Wait, let me get this straight.. One of the guys telling us how to hit the ball correctly, actually doesn't do it himself? He said he has a tendency to lean forward at impact, but then says that isn't the way to do it.

    @@AthleticMotionGolf 11:35 minute mark he said his tendency is to over lean, which isn't the correct way.. This video is about NOT leaning with the driver, it is about returning to impact in the straight line.. right? at the 2:50+ mark you say it does no good to have the body tilted in one direction of the other. Maybe I am misunderstanding..

    Husker Fan I do t see a problem with a pro saying that he has to work on something in his swing, just like every other golfer on the planet, because of a negative tendency he was taught early on. Are you under the impression that teaching and touring pros don’t have things in their swings that they work on?

    Sorry, but I disagree. As a high handicapper in my 70s, I want more accuracy with my driver, not more distance. The same applies to the men I play with, but even more so. I agree that steering the ball is no good at all, but I would like to know how to achieve much more dependability with the driver.
