The #1 Best Place To Live In Tennessee In 2024

Get ready because in today's video I am going to introduce you to the #1 best place to live in Tennessee in 2024! This small town is nestled just south of Nashville, TN and features just less than 10k residents. What were the factors that I used to determine the #1 place to live in Tennessee?
1. This city must have a small town vibe.
2. There must be a healthy Real Estate market.
3. There must be highly rated schools.
4. It must be close to civilization.
5. There must be ways for residents to connect with nature.
This years winner? Thompson's Station, TN! Thompson's Station is the epitome of the perfect small town in Tennessee. If you are moving to Tennessee and want to live in an area that is close to shopping, dining, healthcare, and more then Thompson's Station is the place for you.
Come on let's go check it out!

I like the smaller towns out on the highland rim, like Springfield, Pleasant View, Ashland City, Fairview, and Dickson.

Those are great little towns. I need to take a ride up to Springfield and Ashland City and do some exploring.

Love TN but I will stick to East TN/Smokies to relocate!

That’s a great area as well. I spent five years in Knoxville and really enjoyed it. It was just too much of a college town for me though so I needed to get over to Nashville.

Thompson station is solid but there’s several decent towns in Tennessee. But with everyone like myself trying to get away from the crowded coasts, we’ve ironically made Tennessee a little to crowded for my liking. Maybe I’ll just go to Alaska lol.

I agree it is definitely starting to get a little bit crowded. I wish that some of these smaller towns that were further out would evolve a little bit and become better places to live. Unfortunately, in my opinion, these towns and cities really start to go downhill once you get past about 45 minutes away from Nashville.

Do the schools in Thompsons Station teach kids about credit cards, balancing budgets, investing for retirement? Asking as I was looking to get me real estate license and go to Brentwood area but I'm not a fan of big cities either? Also, is now a good time to become a realtor with home prices tanking & the situation with the NAR?

You know, I’m actually not really sure about the credit cards, budgeting, and investing. I’m gonna ask my oldest son, and ask around to some people that I know. It’s probably not a great time if you are already having negative thoughts about the profession and the housing market. This is a very hard business to be in with a lot of ups and downs. You can’t let those types of things deter you from putting your head down, doing the work, and getting results for your clients. Some years will be better than others and there will be obstacles to overcome and competition. But isn’t that in every profession?

Definitely not Murfreesboro because traffic is nuts. Plus property is outrageous and there is to many Florida and Illinois plates.

Yeah traffic is pretty bad in Murfreesboro. I think it’s still a nice place to live but definitely not the beat.

We moved to Tennessee four years ago. We rejected Thompson station and purchased a very nice house in Hendersonville. Hendersonville has a lake. Our boat and Waverunner on Old Hickory are 10 minutes from our house. Thompson Station does not have a lake. The closest is Percy Priest which I believe is at least 30 minutes away is not further. The very best cities in Tennessee have a lake.

If having a lake is your top priority then Thompson’s station would not be a good fit for you. in my experience having a lake directly in the city or town you live in is not a huge priority for most people. Most people come to me looking for great schools, a small town feel, close proximity to good shopping and dining, close to good healthcare, and a tight knit community with good values. Thompson’s Station delivers all those things.
