This video is a thinly veiled ad for AI tools disguised as productivity tips. The creator shows how to use the Mac Automator app to create keyboard shortcuts that automate repetitive tasks like opening certain apps or turning an iPad into a second display. However, the real purpose seems to be promoting an AI design tool called Pic Copilot for ecommerce. The video is light on actual automation tips and instead focuses on how "satisfying" the shortcuts are to use. In reality, most of the automations shown are very basic and could be achieved through simpler means. The creator tries to tie it all together with pop-psychology about habit formation, but it comes across as a stretch to make the video seem more substantive than an extended product placement. Look elsewhere for genuine productivity advice - this video is more sizzle than steak.

I wonder if you can figure out how to make it voice command for your short keys 🤔

Looks cool but downside is it takes 5x more power consumption to use AI than it does to do it yourself without the AI. My concern is if fusion power fails to arrive and soon, if a lot of people start using AI it could put a huge strain on our power grid which is already a strained system atm.

I think you misunderstood. AI was only used to get the AppleScript. Once that's created, AI is no longer involved in the automation.

I share the intent of your messaging. However, AI is already over-straining the power grid but that is largely to train the models not use the AI. At this point it is futile to try to stop AI and its continued growth. We can only hope that AI will the soon be able to helps us solve the climate crisis. 🤞
