@@theunknownvoidz1409 About that. I think you can add the fact that he wants to kill him because Eobard saw and studied all of his deaths too. He revealed that he did it just after he killed August Heart / Godspeed, revealing also that he created Zoom and Godspeed.

As evil as Eobard's plan is, when you think about it it's also kinda sad. Despite how much he hates Barry, deep down more than anything Eobard still admires the Flash. He said in The Flash 2x11 "I was obsessed with you. For so long I wanted to be the Flash" and in recent comics he said that ruining Barry's life was honestly the best way he could think of to get Barry to spend time with him and give him attention. Thawne may be evil, but more than anything he's just a sad man who wishes more than anything to be able to spend time with his idol and be like him. And this scene proves that no matter how deep Eobard's hatred is for Barry, he still wants to be just like his idol, it's just the fact that when he learned of his destiny to be the Reverse Flash he couldn't handle it so it drove him to villainy.

Eobard still steals the identity of Harrison Wells, He still makes the Particle Accelerator explode. The only difference is apperantly he disclosed his true identity to team Flash afterwards. It makes sense he is wearing the face of Harrison Wells because otherwise timeline would've erased him the moment he killed Barry as a child.

@@Kronosfobi Well no. First appeareance of Wells-Thawne happened in Crisis X. They never explained why Wells-Thawne is still alive. The answer from Thawne was:"Time travel is hard to explain" or something like that. It more makes sense, if some of time remnants of Thawne figured out that something wrong with Timeline. There is only 2 explanations, Crisis X Thawne is Thawne from season 1(it doesn't make sense, because he lost his speed and permanently erased) or he took one of Harrison Wells's face, still wrong, because he take Wells's face due to his plan. Simple answer is this: "Its much cheapier to take Cavanaugh and using him as other Wellses and Thawne".

I always knew Thawn was pure evil but he found a way to take the term to a whole new level. He took everyone and everything from Barry and tried to erase him from history in the process. It also shows how much his envy of Barry is what fuels his dark desires. All those years wanting to be him and he came up with a way to do it in the most cruel and evil way possible.

If you ask me that line is one of the worst and also the most overused lines in the entire show. It's not romantic, it's not cute it's literally laughably cringey. I mean literally the first time it was used in the show was when Barry wanted Oliver to say it to Iris and his reaction was him laughing... that says a lot

I really want to see just HOW this timeline happened. I mean, Thawne is not a bad looking dude, but I feel like the age gap between him and Iris might make a few people go "hmm," least of all Joe. Then again, Thawne loves just wiping loose ends and annoyances from existence in his own timeline, so other people probably wouldn't be a factor.

@@rickymorphew2245 in my opinion: season 1 best season eason 2 kinda has trouble with the whole "repeating traitor among the team" but still has its solid points season 3 is kinda boring but dear goodness it has the best season finale (if you combine the last 2 episodes into 1). and it kinda improves once it has a clear arc (savitar will kill iris at this date), even if it frustratingly drags the reveal of who savitar is season 4 has an entertaining first half even if it kinda goes downhill once the "trial of barry allen" arc gets resolved season 5 is slow on first half but once it is revealed thawne is involved with nora, it picks up a little season 6's frist half is good, with its best episode being the last temptation of barry allen part 1, but second half is painful because, is like the show has no idea what to do now that "flash vanishes missing in crisis" plot point has been resolved season 7 i haven't seen it, but from spoilers I saw, it really has no idea what it was trying to do and kinda was trying to throw anything to the wall to see what would stick with poorly received results

Tom Cavanaugh is an amazing actor he does an amazing job playing these other versions of Harrison Wells really well but his reverse flash Harrison Wells is just on a whole nother level

I dropped off mid season 4, but man when they've got Tom Cavanaugh as RF he really brings this show to another level.

Only problem with this whole idea is that thawne would be weak as fuck. Barry's speed force thrives off positive emotions such as love. Thawne only feels bitter hatred so he'd be even slower than Barry in season 1.Barry doesn't hate many people but he hates Thawne meaning it would be easy to wipe him.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. We saw in the Elseworlds crossover that Barry has loads of repressed anger he can draw on. But Eobard doesn’t have many positive emotions. Then again, Barry at 5% and working with the Negative Speed Force was still faster than Eobard this whole episode.

Kinda makes me wish we could have "Season 1 Eobard meeting Present Eobard". At least to see Season 1 Eobard calling out on his present self about "You could finally go back home in the future, WHY YOU DIDN'T DO THAT?!" and Present day Eobard telling him everything Barry and Team flash have made him go through justifying his insane vengueance That could be interesting to see

It’s very cool to see how Eobard learned from killing Barry’s mother causing him to get stuck in time so that when he changes the timeline he does it smarter so he can manipulate it like a chess board.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! Barry is now the Reverse Flash

I wish he would’ve said “It was me Barry... I started by doing a little housekeeping at star labs. And Then, I took care of the one father you had left” Also: 2:34 that line is so dark i love it. Imagine young Barry sleeping in his astronaut bed and his fucking fish tank water starts rising, then a man in a yellow suit slaughters him... omg

Did someone notice that it was a subtle nod to what Thawne tried to do in the comics? He once tried to take Barry's place and being struck by the lightning that gave the Flash his powers. Problem? He started to be erased from existence because of his status being dependant upon Barry's, so he instead ran from his lab and failed. In short, Armageddon showed us what if Thawne succeded what he failed to do in the comics.

Where the fuck even is Dion? Nora not being there kinda makes sense (Although the Speed Force is a multiversal god, she should still know the real timeline, but I suppose this alternate timeline could leave her confused), but Dion is a time god! He should be there to give Barry some backup

When Barry says "No it does damnit!", he sounds like oliver

There are no words to describe somebody who deliberately relived 8 years out of spite

This has just got to be one of the best scenes in the episode

I remember in season 5, Thawne told Nora that he wanted to become the flash. Looks like he succeeded.

Season 8 actually looks promising might start watching it again. Shame we’ll never get to see Eobards real face again anytime soon until probably the final season and when they’re finally able to get Matt back.

They just don't want to pay for the actor. The actor has publicly stated that he wants to come back to reprise his role. However, he's too expensive for the show's budget so they just re-use Tom Cavanaugh because it's cheaper.
